Wondering when you can read next to Peter the dog and his friends?  Their next appearance at the West University Library will be on Friday, November 7, at 3:30 pm.  Select a book and impress Peter, Denali, and Missy with your reading skills.  Come join in the fun!

Trick or Treat Craft

Trick or Treat craft on Wednesday October 15, at 3:15 pm in the children's area.

Decorate trick or treat bags with markers, stickers and cut-outs. Blank bags and all supplies will be provided.

Fall Booksale at WU

Check out the book bargains at the Friends of the West University Library used Book sale on Saturday, October 11 from 10 AM to 2 PM. The sale will be held on the covered walkway surrounding West University Library at 6108 Auden Street. All proceeds benefit the programs and collections of the library. READ to Peter the Dog-September 19 @ 3:30 pm

PeterFriday September 19, at 3:30 pm.

Children who are reluctant readers will be able to read aloud to Peter - a black lab therapy dog. 3 children may each read for 20 minutes. The reading area will be upstairs in the children's picture book area that will be cordoned off. You may bring your own book or select one from a library selection.


Literacy and ESL tutors are needed at the West University Library.  If you have thought about volunteering for the library now is your chance to help out.  Call us at 713-668-8273 to find out more about the program, or stop by our library.
