What's Going On at the Aldine Library?

Visitors to the Aldine Library will notice some flyers on the front door advertising some upcoming events at the branch. What's going on? Spring Break is fast approaching!

Teens, do you need community service hours? Are you at least 16 years of age? Are you reliable, responsible, and punctual? We are seeking volunteers to help out at the library the week of March 14th - 19th.

We are also having two special events for teenagers during the week of Spring Break. On Wednesday, March 16th from 2-3 PM we are having a job search skills seminar for teens entitled "When I Grow Up." On Thursday March 17th from 2-3 PM is a Food Wars Cupcake Challenge for teens and tweens. Design a cupcake based on a book. Sign up at the information desk. Supplies will be provided.

New Items Revisited

new books

In my last blog, I mentioned our new book display in the back of the Aldine Library. We have made a change. Now our new books are on a cart across from the DVD aisle. When you come in our latest items are easily seen and more accessible. Take a look!

Just stroll down to the back of the building where we have some shelves showing the materials. Don't miss it!

2016 Programming at Aldine Library

We're off to a good start in 2016 here at the Aldine Libray. We are back with our regular programming that includes English Language Aquistion classes (ELA), computer classes as well as storytimes for children & events for teens. Check out our online calendar for a complete schedule of events at the library. And have you seen our excellent Martin Luther King, Jr, book display? It's in the children's section with the Easy Picture Books.

Have a great week!
