CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Join us this week on Thursday the 26th of January @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

Photography: Digital Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking enhances your favorite memories and it has now gone digital! Join the Kingwood Photo Club for an exciting and informative program on digital scrapbooking on Saturday, January 14th from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM in the Meeting Room. Put your images (either scanned or from your camera), along with various graphic elements together into a digital scrapbook and make memories. You'll learn about software available, as well as where and how to acquire the graphics you'll want for a fun and beautiful scrapbook project.

This class is best for beginner and intermediate photographers who would like to extend their art to the printed, scrapbook world.

The program is free. Sign up is not required, but helpful. If you wish, you may sign up with the Kingwood Photo Club here to let them know number of attendees.

ESL Tutor Training at Kingwood Library

Are you interested in volunteering your time to help others in the new year? Would you like to help some of your neighbors have happier, more productive lives? Would you like to help other adults learn English? Become a volunteer ESL tutor at HCPL! No teaching experience necessary. We provide the space and materials. You provide the time and the desire to help. You will be able to make your own schedule. Please join us at the Kingwood Library for an ESL Tutor Training on 2-18-17 in the computer lab from 10am to 2:30pm. Please also make sure to follow the link to fill out the tutor registration form when you sign up for the training. We look forward to seeing you!

Kingwood Park H.S. Madrigal Singers at Kingwood Library

 

On December 12th, the Kingwood Park H.S. madrigal singers came to the Kingwood Library and sang for us on the second floor lobby area. Patrons and staff alike enjoyed hearing timeless holiday songs. Thanks for lending your voices to the library, Kingwood Park H.S.!  Happy Holidays!

Polar Express Reading @ Kingwood Library

Come join the Kingwood Branch Youth Services Team as they do a reading of The Polar Express today from 4-5:30 PM. They will also create some very special "magic" snow. Pajamas are highly encouraged for kids from 1 to 92!
