New Look

We have made a change at the Aldine Library. The study carrels that once housed the computers in the middle of the library have been removed. In their place we now have a set of long tables set back to back. The other set of study carrels opposite the encyclopedias in the children's section will also be removed in the near future and replaced with tables. These changes allow for more computers.

New Playset

The children's section at Aldine has an addition- a new, wooden playset!. The set consists of pieces that, when put together, form a circle. Come by and take a look. Let your child explore and play today.

"C" is for Clean

Customers entering the Aldine Branch this week may have noticed something different about the library. Perhaps you can tell the environs are brighter and more vibrant. If not, just look down. We had our carpet cleaned last weekend! Yes, our carpet looks great thanks to a thorough scrubbing and cleaning. Enjoy!

Updated

Aldine Branch Library

The Aldine Library has had some changes in recent years. We have implemented self-service holds, added self-checkout machines, and installed Hatch computers in the children's area. To reflect these updates, we have updated the branch virtual tour. Take a look and see all that the Aldine Library offers!

Shop Stop

It's December and Christmas is around the corner. Time to shop for gifts for family and friends. While you are out and about, don't forget about our ongoing book sale at the Aldine library. You always find great deals on used books, CDs and DVDs. Happy Holidays!

Think Pink

What is of steel construction, supports up to 500 pounds of weight, has a bottom rubber bumper / rubber belly band, and has a pink powder coat finish? It's our new set of stools at the Aldine Library!  Step up to see books on higher shelves and support breast cancer awareness at the same time. For each stool that we have purchased, an annual donation will be made to support breast cancer awareness.

Fall Festival Fun

We had a great time at our Fall Festival held on Saturday, October 29th. It was such a success that we're thinking about doing it next year! Thanks to our partner organization, the Aldine-Greenspoint YMCA, for their support. Thank you to all the volunteers. There's no way we could done this without you!
