2016 Programming at Aldine Library

We're off to a good start in 2016 here at the Aldine Libray. We are back with our regular programming that includes English Language Aquistion classes (ELA), computer classes as well as storytimes for children & events for teens. Check out our online calendar for a complete schedule of events at the library. And have you seen our excellent Martin Luther King, Jr, book display? It's in the children's section with the Easy Picture Books.

Have a great week!

Happy Holidays to our Aldine Library friends!

Hello, everyone! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. The holiday season is now in full swing. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping rush, stop by and see us. The Aldine Library will periodically be playing seasonal music over the loudspeaker to get you in the spirit of the holidays. We will also have some occasional treats available to the public to enjoy.

Take care!

Mission Accomplished

It's a new dawn at the Aldine Library. The HCPL catalog system upgrade and migration is now complete. You can access your account online as before. It may take staff a little longer to process new library cards, etc., as we get accustomed to the system. Thank you for your patience and for bearing with us as we learn the ropes of our new software!

Software Installation and Affected Library Services November 8-13

Hello Aldine Library Friends,

We are having software installation occurring throughout the Harris County Public Library system during the week of November 8th-13th.  Library services will be affected during this time. Here's what to expect that week:

1. You must have your Library Card to check out.

2. Access to all digital services will still be available with your Library Card

3. You will not have access to your account

4. Items with a due date of November 9th-15th will be due on November 16th. Please return these items after November 13th.

Thank you for patience during this time of transition. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Pumpkin Carving @ Aldine Library

The Aldine Library had a Halloween-themed children's event on the evening of Monday, October 26th- a pumpkin carving party! Kids, parents, and babies enjoyed sculpting, carving, & decorating pumpkins in the Meeting Room. A good time was had by all.

It's The Adventures of Crayons and How They Made Their Way Home!

Hey everyone! Come join us at the Aldine Branch Library this Saturday October 24th, 2015 from 11 am - 12 pm to listen to the adventures of crayons and how they made their way home! After the reading, all children will participate in an art-making activity inspired by the book. The Aldine ISD Curriculum & Instruction Department will be on site to read, facilitate, and monitor this session. The first 60 children in attendance will receive their very own copy of The Day the Crayons Came Home for their personal libraries. Don't miss out!
