SAGE: Holiday Shopping & Safety Tips

Today, deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office visited Kingwood Library to share holiday shopping & safety tips. Patrons asked questions. Safety tips: lock car doors, keep items out of view (in car trunk), be aware of surroundings, & don't get distracted by strangers.

Blood Drive at Kingwood Library

Commit to life! Join Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in the parking lot at Kingwood Library on Monday 12/3 from 9 AM - 3 PM to donate blood. Donors will have the opportunity to write greetings on a card that will be attached to a teddy bear & delivered to someone spending the holidays in the hospital.

Holiday Hours

In honor of Thanksgiving, KingwoodLibrary will close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday 11/21. We will remain closed through Sunday 11/25. Regular hours resume on Monday 11/26. Don't forget that our digital resources- including eBooks- are available 24/7 here.

 

Fun4Seniors Tour of the National Weather Service

On Thursday 11/15, Kingwood Library staff joined Precinct 4 Fun4Seniors on a tour of the National Weather Service in Dickinson, TX. Participants learned about how storms throughout the nation are tracked and monitored. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed lunch at the Kemah Boardwalk.

SAGE: "Let's Cook" in a Instant Pot!

On Tues 11/13, Ms. Maria Riveras was at the Kingwood Library for a SAGE program. She gave tips and techniques on how to cook with an Instant Pot. Later, she prepared turkey meat balls in a delicious tomato- based sauce using an Instant Pot. Everyone enjoyed a sample of the food.
