Gulf Coast Reads Book Discussion

When having a book discussion, why not include the author, herself? That's what we did at Kingwood Library on the evening of Monday Oct 15th. Author Attica Locke joined the group via Skype. Her novel "Bluebird, Bluebird"- set in TX- was selected for this year's Gulf Coast Reads.

Fun4Seniors George H.W. Bush Presidential Library

On Wed 10/3, #KingwoodLibrary staff joined HarrisCounty Precinct4 Fun4Seniors on a trip to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station. The group viewed photos, sat in an exact replica of the Oval Office, and tried to land a plane in an aircraft carrier simulator.

Fun4Seniors is operated by Harris County Precinct 4 Senior Adult Program and is open to ages 50 years and older. Transportation is free to and from Kingwood Branch Library. For registration, payment, and event information please contact Fun4Seniors by calling 281-893-3726.

SAGE: Cooking Demo: Mexican Style
