Friends of the Maud Marks Library Book Sale

  Be sure to join us for the Friends of the Maud Marks Library Used Book Sale from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, this Saturday, April 29, 2017. There will be lots of hardback and paperback books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and more.  Prices are right and the people are friendly.  Membership is not required but if you would like to join the Friends of the MM Library applications will be available. Support your library.

Last Chance for Tax Assistance

                                                                                                                                                               Have you procrastinated and still need help filing your federal income taxes? Here at the Maud Marks Library the final day for tax assistance with the AARP volunteers is Monday, April 17, 2017, from 10am - 2 pm. The Library will be closed on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday. If you need assistance with your taxes please arrive early on Monday for the first come first serve sign up. Bring all the necessary paperwork and identification. 

Color Me Relaxed

 It's not too late to join us for "Color Me Relaxed", a coloring time for adults.  Make some new friends while you color, relax, chat, have a snack, and listen to music. We have lots of coloring pages and pencils available to choose from, or bring your own and share with others. This month we meet on Tuesday., March 28, 2017, at 2 pm. If you can't make it this month, join us in April.

Power of Attorney and Designation of Guardianship for Senior Adults

  Learn how important it is for senior adults to have a power of attorney and a designation of guardianship in place ahead of time. Experts will be here at the library at 3 pm on Friday, March 17, 2017. Learn a Language with Our New Database

Is there a trip in your future where you might need to speak, read or understand the language of the local people? Our new database called Pronunciator is a fun new database which offers 80 different languages and provides live tutors, video, music, quizzes, and more. You will need a library card and pin number to access Pronunciator at our website.  It  also features free apps for Android, Apple, and Kindle Fire devices. Parlez-vous francais? Muy bien. Domo arigato!

Two Programs: Estate Planning and Social Security Questions

Do you have questions about estate planning? Come to the library and join us at 10 am on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. The People's Law School representatives will be here to discuss and answer your legal questions about how to prepare some of the most important legal documents you will ever need, such as a will and a power of attorney.

How does Social Security work? Get your questions answered on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at 2 pm. We will have a financial expert here at the library to help explain social security in layman terms, and answer questions such as "how can I maximize my benefits?"

There's a lot going on at the library. We have computer classes, book clubs, Yoga Class, DIY Macrame Workshop, and more.  And don't forget, our on-line library is open 24-7, so you can access movies, audiobooks, ebooks and more.
