Normal Library Hours Resume This Week

NORTH CHANNEL LIBRARY will return to Normal Business Hours starting this week.

MONDAY 1 PM - 8 PM
TUESDAY 10 AM - 8 PM
WEDNESDAY 10 AM - 8 PM
THURSDAY 10 AM - 8 PM
FRIDAY 1 PM - 6 PM
SATURDAY 10 AM - 5 PM

Check the online calendar for upcoming events, or stop by the front desk to pick up a printed copy. 

Toddler Time - Watermelon Fun

Watermelon FunToddler Time is in for a special treat this week. We are going to listen to some fun stories and rhymes about watermelons, and have a small experiment to see a fizzy watermelon. Join us this Tuesday, August 7, 2017 during both Toddler Times for some delicious fun.

Toddler Time is a year round program for children ages 18 months - 3 years old and their caregivers. Free tickets are required and can be picked up at the front desk for either times 10:15 AM or 11:15 AM. Groups, please call in advance 281-457-1631.

Pokémon Club @ NC

Pokemon ClubPokémon Club will meet this Saturday, July 29th, at 3 PM in the Public Meeting Room. Bring your Pokémon cards, DS games, or phones to battle other Pokémon trainers at North Channel Library.
Pokémon Club meets the last Saturday of every month for gaming and small crafts or movies. Please contact us at 281-457-1631 for any questions.

Teens: Build a Better Competition

Rice Crispy TreatTeens and Tweens, it's time for another Build a Better Competition. Today your challenge will be Rice Crispies. So grab your teammates, invite your friends and come join us today at 4:30 PM in the Public Meeting Room for a fun, edible challenge. 

On Thursday we will have an Edible Architecture program where you can use candy to build famous structures.

Monday Movie Madness

Hey Lego Fans, and Batman Fans! Today for our Summer Reading Monday Movie Madness we will be watching THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE on our big screen. Don't forget your pillows, blankets, and snacks and join us in the Public Meeting Room at 3 PM. The movie will run for 2 hours and 9 mins. and is rated PG.

Movie Programs are recommended for Children ages 4 and up and require Free Tickets that can be picked up at the front desk of the library. Please call 281-457-1631 for any questions.

Toddler Time Tuesdays @ NC

toddler timeToddler Time on Tuesdays at North Channel Library is a year round ticketed program for Toddlers ages 18 months - 3 years old. There are 2 times at 10:15 AM and 11:15 AM to allow more space for our friends to enjoy their story time. 
Next week, Tuesday, July 11th, Toddler Time will be out on the floor in the Children's Area and therefore we will only have ONE toddler time at 10:30 AM.

Free Lunch for kids 18 and under.
In conjunction with the Houston Food Bank, North Channel serves free lunch on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1-2 PM. Kids don't have to be enrolled in school or a program to get a meal. No ID is required.

Sandwich Teen ProgramTeam Fidget were the winners of this past Tuesdays Teen Program: Build a Better Sandwich. We had fun creating a different variety of sandwiches and appreciate our special guest parent judges. Teens and Tweens will continue the competition with building structures with jelly beans and toothpicks. Which team will build the structure that can hold the most weight? Come find out today at 4:30 PM in the public meeting room of North Channel Library.
