Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and adult volunteers together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grades (Little Buddies). For 10 weeks, the Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading.

If you are 18 years old or over and interested in being an adult Big Buddy, please apply through our online application.

Roald Dahl's #Imaginormous Challenge Writing Contest

Roald Dahl's #imaginormous Challenge is here!  Do you have a child between the ages of 5 and 12 with a wacky imagination and a love for writing?  This contest may be for them!

Roald Dahl's stories all started out as just a few lines written in various idea books. Out of these books came the tales we all love, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and  Fantastic Mr. Fox.
