Computer Basics Class

This class introduces a first time user to the desktop computer. Participants will be familiarized with terms used and with different components and features of the computer. We will also learn to use the keyboard & mouse. The class will meet Thursday, April 6 11:00 am -1:00 pm. Please note later start time than usual. Call the library at 281-471-4022 to register.

Apple iPhone Help

 Do you have a new iPhone and are you stumped on how to use many of the features? Come to the workshop and learn all features listed here plus more!
Phone/Facetime app, copy and paste, Safari internet browsing, settings and using the camera. The class will be held Thursday, March 30, 10:30 am-12:30 pm.  Call the library at  281-471-4022 to register. Openings still available.

ESL - English as a Second Language Class Available

A new ESL class has started. It meets Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. If you are interested in attending this class please call the library at 281-471-4022 to register. It is free and all teaching materials are provided.

Computer Class: Introduction to Microsoft Word

Come and learn how to use Microsoft Word to enter, edit, format, save, retrieve and print documents. This class will be held Thursday, March 9 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Call 281-471-4022 to register. Please note the change in our regular computer class time.

 

Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash

Gertrude McFuzz says -  Come celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday and "Read Across America" and help us bust open a Dr. Seuss Piñata!  The event begins Wednesday, March 1 at 3:15 pm.

Teen Event: Jazz Cafe

 Join us in celebrating African American History Month in our Jazz Cafe! Stop by for a hot drink & New Orleans style food while listening to jazz music. Learn more about legendary artists and the contributions that African Americans have made to American history. Ages 10-17. The Cafe will be open Wednesday, February 22 at 4:00pm.

Teen Maker Space: Operation Valentine

 Apply your knowledge of simple electric circuits to create a game that can be played and eaten! Think of the old fashion operation game. Ages 10-17. Supplies are limited. This event will be held Wednesday, February 8 at 4:00 pm.

Free Computer Class on Facebook


Facebook is being used by virtually every age group today. Come to the library and learn the basics about opening and using a Facebook account. Please have a working email account before coming to the class. This class will be Thursday, February 2 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Call 281-471-4022 to sign up.

Tax Forms Are In

It's that time of year again. We have received the three basic forms for filing your tax returns: 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ.. We also have information on the area locations for Tax Assistance provided by AARP.
