Gulf Coast Reads Movie Night

Join us for the Gulf Coast Reads Movie Night. We will be viewing a documentary about the men and women who served in World War I. Showtime is Thursday, October 16 beginning at 6:00 pm.

Computer Classes in October

We are going back to the basics in October. A class in Computer Basics will be held Thursday, October 16 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. This class will help participants become familiar with the terms and components of a computer.

Children's Story Time at Jacinto City Library

Join our Children's Librarian every  Wednesday at 11:30 am for a fun time of stories and fingerplays. Children's Story Time is presented for children ages 2-6 years old and their caregivers.

Join the Little Explorers Wednesday, October 8 at 10:15 am  and enjoy the fun of a gel-filled confetti sensory tablet. This program is for children ages 0 - 5 years old and their caregivers. Sorry we cannot accommodate Daycare groups for this program.

Hispanic Heritage Month Fridge Magnet Craft

Hey kids, come celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us and create a mini-sombrero magnet to put on your refrigerator. The fun begins Wednesday, October 1 at 3:15 pm. All materials are provided and funded by the Friends of La Porte Library.

Hispanic Heritage Month Movie

Join us Thursday, September 25 at 6:00 pm for a movie night in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. We are presenting a movie that takes a look at how Latinos helped to shape American baseball. Suitable for all ages.

Happy Birthday La Porte Community Library !!

The Storytime children made birthday cakes to decorate and celebrate 13 years of service at the La Porte Community Library. We opened the new library to the public on September 20, 2001. The bulletin board also wishes a happy birthday to our zany Children's Librarian Mr. D. May we have many more years of great library times here in La Porte!
