Have you ever wanted to know which DNA test to choose? What to expect? In addition, what to do with the results?  Discover more about your family’s past with DNA testing for genealogy. 

DNA testing is commonly used to help gain a better understanding of our deep and recent roots, to verify or break down genealogical findings and to connect with unknown relatives who can help fill out the family tree.

Unfortunally, SAGE's program for July 24, 2018 has been cancelled.  We apologize for any inconvenience.  In its place, SAGE will host a Tech APPY Hour at 10:00 am in the Computer Lab.  The class will focus on the app download process.  Bring you own device and get tips and techniqes on how to get apps from the Amazon, Apple and Play Store.  Please go to the events calendar to register.

SAGE: Explore Your Digital Library!

Do you need help with downloading your apps? Come explore your digital library! Let us get together to learn how to download applications to your smartphone or tablet.  On July 24, 2018 at 10 - 11 am in the Computer Lab, we will discuss four proguctivity apps that are integrated in everyday living.  Registration is required!

COMING YOUR WAY! String Instrument Workshop

The Kingwood Branch Library invites you to join us for a two-hour String Instument Workshop on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2 pm. Our guest, Master Luthier, Geoff Ugent will demonstrate how string instruments are made along with a live music demo. Talk It Up! "Love and Other Consolation Prizes"

You are invited to a lively and enriching book discussion. Join us July 16, 2018, at 7 pm for Talk It Up! Book Discussion. This month’s discussion is “Love and Other Consolations Prizes” by Jamie Ford. A half-Chinese orphan whose mother sacrificed everything to give him a better chance is raffled off as a prize at Seattle's 1909 World's Fair, only to land in the ownership of the madam of a notorious brothel where he finds friendship and opportunities, in a story based on true events.

Yarnspirations: Right Around the Corner

If you missed the first go around of Yarnspirations, Cheer Up! Another knitting and crochet session is just around the  corner.  Mark your calendar for July 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Bring your own creations and see some new ones from other knit and crochet enthusiasts.  Be a part of a the SAGE Adventure.
