Tween Program: October Book Club this Friday, October 19 @ 4:30 pm

  Tweens 8-12 years old willl have a great time on Friday afternoon at the October Book Club at 4:30 pm.  We'll be discussing J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."  Then the children will make a fun bookmark and do a few other activities.  Tickets are required for this program.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting at 4:00 pm.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman LIbrary for supporting this program.

 

Family Storytime this Saturday, October 20 @ 11:00 am

   Looking for a fun and free program to bring your youngsters to on Saturday morning?  Join us at 11:00 am this Saturday for Family Storytime.   We'll have stories, songs, and fingerplays.  This program is recommended for children 5 years and younger.   No tickets are needed for this great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Baby Playtime on Friday, October 12 @ 10:00 am

Babies from infants through 18 months old will enjoy a fun playdate this Friday, October 12 at 10:00 am.  Babies and their grownup can hang out with toys, books, bubbles, and a craft.  No tickets are needed for this program.  It will be held in the Chilldren's Activity Space.  Thank you to the Freinds of Freeman LIbrary for supporting this program over the years.

Pajama Storytime on Thursday, October 11 @ 6:00 pm

Looking for a family outing this week?  Join us on Thursday, October 11 at 6:00 pm for Pajama Storytime.   This program is recommended for preschool and toddler age children.  It features stories, songs, and a craft.    Children are welcome to wear pajamas, slippers, and bring a favorite stuffed animal or blanket.   Tickets will be given out at 530  pm.  Thank you to the Freinds of Freeman LIbrary for supporting this program with craft supplies.

Special Children's Program on Monday, October 8 at 10:30 am

  Young children will be in for a treat this Monday, October 8 at 10:30 am when we welcome international perfromer Sagit Zilberman.   A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Ms. Zilberman will use a variety of instruments to perform "Songs of Peace."  This program is recommended for children 5 years and younger.

  Due to this special opportunity, we will not have the regularly scheduled Preschool Storytime at 10:15 am and the Baby Butterflies at 11:15 am.  Instead, we encourage families to attend this special program.   Tickets will be given out when we open at 10:00 am.  The program will be at 10:30 am.

Tween Fun - Build-a-Bot on Wednesday, September 26 at 4:30 pm

  Tweens 8-12 years old will enjoy creating their own robot using clay on Wednesday, September 26 at 4:30 pm.  This fun program requires tickets.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting at 4:00 pm.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program wtih great materials for the children to use.

 

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Ballet Folklorico Las Americas on Saturday, September 22 @ 2 pm

   Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a colorful dance performance by Ballet Folklorico Las Americas at 2:00 pm.  They will perform traditional dances and music from Mexico, Central and South America and Spain.   This program is recommended for children 3-12 years old along with their caregiver.   Tickets will be given out in the Children's Department at 1:30 pm.

Due to space limitations, no strollers will be admitted to the room.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program.

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival on Thursday, September 20 at 5:00 pm

  The Freeman Children's Department celebrates the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival this Thursday, September 20 at 5:00 pm.  We will have a bi-lingual English/Chinese story, a craft, a special Chinese instrument performance at 5:30 pm and a tasty moon cake treat.  This program is recommended for the whole family.   Tickets are required.  They are free and available from the Children's Department starting at 5:00 pm.
