Reminder for Maud Marks Summer Volunteers

Remember that volunteer applications for the Maud Marks Library are due this Friday, May 20. Be sure to turn in your application by that time so we can schedule you for this summer.  Volunteers should be entering 6th grade or above and must attend an orientation session either at 4:30pm on Monday, May 23 or at 7pm on Tuesday, May 31. Schedules will be given out at orientation.

Book Sale Tomorrow, April 30 at Maud Marks!

Be sure to stop by the Friends of the Maud Marks Library book sale tomorrow from 10am-5pm.  The deals are great – hardcover books are $1 and paperbacks are 50 cents!  If you’re a member of the Friends (or join today) you can also attend the special preview sale tonight from 4:30-6pm.

There's Still Time to Do Your Taxes . . .

And what better way than with free tax help!  The AARP is still offering free tax assistance at Maud Marks on Mondays and Fridays from 10am until 2pm.  This year the deadline is April 18 which is also the last day of tax assistance.  Remember to bring all of your W2s, 1099s, Social Security cards for yourself and all dependents, and checking account info if you plan to file electronically.  If Monday and Friday mornings don’t work with your schedule here are other locations with this service.

Kids, be sure to come to the Maud Marks Branch next Wednesday, March 9 at 4:30pm to make your own birdfeeder!  The hungry birds in your yard will thank you. This craft is for school-aged children.

Book Sale this Saturday at Maud Marks!

Are you looking to build your home library without spending a lot of money? Be sure to stop by the Friends of the Maud Marks Library Book Sale this Saturday, January 15, from 10am-5pm! Items range in price from 25 cents to $1 and we have fiction, nonfiction, children's books, magazines, and movies!
 
If you join the Friends you can also attend the preview sale on Friday from 5:30 to 7pm. Forms are available at the door and an individual membership is $10.

Volunteer Orientation Friday Jan 7 at 4pm

Interested in volunteering at the Maud Marks Library? Our next volunteer orientation is Friday, January 7, at 4pm. Orientation is mandatory for all new teen volunteers. You can pick up an application at the information desk or print one out. If you have any questions please check with a librarian.

Volunteer Orientation Monday, Nov 29 @ 5pm

If you’re a teenager and you’d like to volunteer at the Maud Marks Branch be sure to attend volunteer orientation this Monday (11-29) at 5pm. Orientation is mandatory for new volunteers. If you haven’t filled out an application yet you can print one here or pick one up at the information desk. Thanks for your help!
