Interested in learning more about your ancestors? On Tuesday, November 16 at 7pm we are holding a class at the Maud Marks Branch Library in researching Genealogy online on the Heritage Quest Database! Learn how to search the Federal Census, ship records, and more. Can't come then? This class repeats itself on Tuesday, November 30 at 1 PM. You must know how to use a mouse and a keyboard.

Artistic Fun for Elementary-Aged Kids

 
This Wednesday, September 8 at 4:30pm we’re having the first Afternoon Art of the new school year at the Maud Marks Branch! We’ll be decorating clothespins and transforming them into cool works of art.  This program is free and all supplies are provided; no registration is required.

The Return of Teen Time!

A crisp fall wind may be a couple of months away but school has started and that means it’s time for Teen Time! On Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4pm (excluding school holidays and early release days) we have programs for junior high students. These include crafts, game days, computer classes, and movies. Our schedule rotates so stop by to see what we’re doing! Registration is free and available at the program.

Storytime Keeps Coming!

 
Although our Summer Reading Program has ended the storytimes at the Maud Marks Branch Library stay the same! No registration is required and the following times are available:
 
Babies (up to 18months): Thursdays at 10:15am and 11:15am
Toddlers (18-36 months): Tuesdays at 10:15am and 11:15am; Wednesdays at 10:15am
Preschoolers: Wednesdays at 11:15am.
 

 

AP Book Club for Teens!

 
 
Are you going into AP English in the 7th-12th grades? In addition to our display of the required books we’re also having a series of book clubs here at the Maud Marks Library! We’ve picked one book from each grade to focus on so if you read the same one be sure to sign up. Click here for the schedule; registration is required for all of the book clubs. Our first session is Monday, July 26 at 2pm for 7th grade and we’ll be discussing

Want to learn how to make custom jewelry? Come to the Maud Marks Library this Thursday, July 22 at 2pm to learn how to make paper beads! Supplies are provided so just bring yourself and your imagination.

Explore New Worlds at the Thursday Teen Movie

Teens, join us on Thursday, July 15 at 2pm in the Maud Marks Branch Library Meeting Room for a sci fi movie! Learn how Captain Kirk and his crew members got their start and enjoy some popcorn and soda too! No registration is required for this program.
