Mancala Strategy Game

February is African American History Month, and we invite children ages 6 and up to come to the library and discover the ancient strategy and counting game Mancala. Mancala describes several strategy and counting games which originated in Africa more than a thousand years ago. Mancala games are some of the oldest strategy games and are played all over the world. During this program, participants will learn how to play a version of Mancala on both a physical wooden board and a digital application. Join us on Monday, February 18 at 4:30 pm to learn about Mancala.
