Next Week's Computer Classes at Fairbanks Branch

Hello Fairbanks Community. Here is the line-up of free Computer Classes for next week. Please remember to call us at 713-466-4438 for a reservation rather than reply here to be sure your spot gets secured. Our classes are open to all ages.

Monday, 3/21 at 4-6pm - One on One help for iPads (reserve a 30 minute spot)
Tuesday, 3/21 at 4pm - Beginner Word 2013
Wednesday, 3/22 at 2pm - Beginner Internet
Saturday, 3/25 at 3 pm - Intermediate Excel 2013 (Our Beginner Excel class is a prerequisite)

African Art Exhibit at Fairbanks

Hello Everyone. In honor of Black History Month, we will be hosting the Gite Gallery on Saturday, Feb 18 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. They will be bringing with them exquisite pieces of African Art ranging from sculptures to paintings and talking about their stories. This exhibit is free and there's no need to register. Houston Author Read Aloud at Fairbanks

On Tuesday, February 7 at 4 pm, we will be hosting a read aloud by Houston author Beatriz Chapa, for 2nd to 4th graders. She will be reading her new book Fruition, which takes place in Houston where four caterpillars take on a perfect adventure.  To sign up your children, please call 713-466-4438. See you there!

Introduction to Windows 10

Come join us for an free Introduction to Windows 10 class! Have you updated to the new Windows 10 software on your laptop and having trouble learning how to use it? We will be having a free class on Wednesday, January 25th at 11:30 am in the meeting room! You will need to bring your laptop with Windows 10 software installed on it. Nature Discovery Center "Scales and Tales"

Hey Kids! Remember tomorrow, Thursday, June 23 at 2 pm, the Nature Discovery Center's "Scales and Tales" will be coming by with live reptiles and snakes to teach us more about them and how they live. All ages are welcome! For more information, call us at 713-673-3237. See you there!
