End of Summer Wrap-Up

I know the schools are back in session and the temperature is slightly cooler, but let’s take a moment and look back at this year’s Summer Reading Program.

2015 Summer Reading Program Prize Winners

More than 750 children and adults signed up for the Summer Reading Program at the Octavia Fields Branch Library.  Forty children read 100 books or more.  We also had great attendance for our children’s, teen, and adult activities.

At the end of the summer, we held drawings for prizes in each age category.  We look forward to celebrating reading and summer with all of you again next year!

Bubble Fun

We had a great time with bubbles at today's program.  Many people asked about Ms. Fayth's homemade bubble solution.  Here's the recipe she used:

1 gallon water

2/3 cup Dawn dishwashing liquid (the blue kind)

3 tablespoons glycerin (buy it at a drugstore or grocery store)

Have fun!
