SAT Practice Test presented by Kaplan

On Saturday, May 16,  Kaplan instructors will be at the library from 10:30-2:30.

Teens will take a full-length SAT Practice Test with individual results and suggestions handled via telephone conference the following week. Bring pencils and a calculator.

This will be the last practice test of the school year. The test will resume in the Fall.

Bounce Back: How to Recover from Financial Setbacks

On Tuesday, April 14 come to the library at 6:30 to learn how to deal with financial setbacks. Kelly Keith, LMSW, Program Manager of The Women's Resources of Greater Houston will present a seminar on how to achieve financial stability after a financial loss.The seminar is sponsored by Houston Money Week (Make it. Save it. Spend it Wisely.)

Classic Comedy Movie on Friday

We will show a comedy from 1941 starring Carole Lombard and Robert Montgomery on Friday, February 20 at 10:00 

Photographic Presentation from the NW Houston Photo Club

Come and see the wonderful exhibit of 42 photos from the NW Houston Photo Club.

The  Photographic Presentation will be in the Art Alcove on the 2nd floor of the library through March.

Knowledge Exchange to Change Rooms this Week.

Knowledge Exchange will meet on Friday, February 6 from 12:30-2:30. There will be  a room change this week. The group will meet in the Robin Bush Room rather than the Earl Elliott Room. The Robin Bush Room is in the back of the Children's area. Come and join us as we make lap blankets for the V.A. Hospital and Chemo Caps for M.D. Anderson.

Al and Polly's Bookstore Needs Volunteers

Do you like books? Do you like sharing books with others? We currently need new volunteers to help us in the bookstore. Typical shifts are 3-4 hours/half days.

We need volunteers that are interested in working a regular weekly time slot and also those interested in being a substitute.  Our bookstore is open 6 days a week and is run solely by volunteers.
