Houston Great Books Council: Hosts book clubs throughout the greater Houston area. The HGBC is affiliated with the Great Books Foundation, "a national organization that promotes the reading of great literature and an examination of the great ideas underlying those works."

Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Exchange Network: Exchange paperback books, movies, audiobooks and graphic novels with fellow science fiction and fantasy readers. Groups also have book discussions.

Reading Group Choices: Suggestions and discussion guides for reading groups.

Oxford Text Archive: Access to more than 2,500 online texts from Oxford University.

Read Print: A selection of free electronic books. Mostly classic.

Wired for Books: The Ohio University Telecommunications Center presents a number of texts in Real Audio Format. They also have a section of children's literature.
