“The
Zone” is a cool place to meet friends at the new Clear Lake City-County
Freeman Branch Library. “The Zone”, on the second floor of the library,
is a space just for teens ages 12-18. It houses the collection of young
adult books, magazines, graphic novels and audios and has a small activity
room with a big screen TV with cable.
With
two full time staff dedicated to young adult services the Freeman library
offers movie nights, crafts, computer classes and game nights.
There
is a trendy look to the young adult room with chairs that can be moved into
groups and a couple of tables with benches. Teens will definitely feel
comfortable getting together with friends for homework or fun at the library.
There isn’t a doubt that teens are welcome here!
