Santa Claus is Coming!


Santa will be here on December 21st from 1-3pm. Stop by and take a picture with Santa, enjoy some refreshments, and check out some books!

Word Crafters Meet Tonight

Baldwin Boettcher’s writing group Word Crafters are still meeting at Lone Star College – North Harris every Wednesday at 5:30 pm.  We do prompts, discuss projects, share, and encourage.  If you like to write, come join us.  We would love to see you! 

Creative Art Club for Adults, Wednesday afternoons at 2:00pm

Studies have shown that coloring and other art activities can help lower anxiety levels, reduce stress, and prevent boredom. Come and join us at the Northwest Branch Library and get in touch with your creative side. All materials will be provided by the library, event is free and open to the public. Yoga for Adults on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm

Beginner level YOGA class every Wednesday evening at 6:15pm. Yoga is a system of physical exercises, breath control, and meditation aimed at attaining bodily and mental control and well-being. The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj, meaning to “yoke,” “join,” or “unite.” The word implies joining or integrating all aspects of the body with the mind to achieve a healthy and balanced life. Adults - The December Adult Crafts-To-Go Kit Has Arrived!

Adults - please stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up an Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. This month's project is a fun foam snow globe ornament (see picture). This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last.

Adults - Friday, 12/8 @ 10:30 AM - TGIF Programs Hosts Morning Bells Handbell Choir Concert!

The Morning Bells Handbell Choir will perform Friday, December 8 at 10:30 AM. An interfaith adult handbell group for beginners to advanced ringers, the Choir performs for retirement homes, health care centers, community groups, libraries, and other mission opportunities.

Photo Organizing: From Chaos and Clutter to Organized and Accessible

Are your photos trapped in your devices, scattered in shoeboxes, or bound in sticky albums?  Do you have family vacations, special moments, and treasured recollections captured on slides?  Are your digital directories messy, cluttered and difficult to navigate?  Do you want to protect your photos from equipment malfunction or natural disasters? Join us on Saturday, December 9 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss solutions for photo sorting and organizing problems. Presented by Amire Hemme, a retired project manager, certified photo organizer and owner of PreciousMemories.
