Green Thumb Gardening—Roses: Planting, Growing and Upkeep

RoseThe Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Harris County Master Gardeners invite you to their March class on taking care of roses.  Add beauty to your garden with these colorful and fragrant flowers, and learn how to take care of them so they reach their full potential.

Adult Crafts-To-Go Kits for September Are Here!

Adults - stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up an Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. We're making a decorative, non-edible hard candy magnet this September. 

This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last. Limit 1 kit/adult. Join us on Fridays at 3:45 PM in the second floor Computer Lab to learn how to use the free Family Search website (www.familysearch.org) to research your family history.

Talk It Up! Book Discussion

You are invited to Talk It Up! on Mon 9/17 from 7-8:45 PM in the Conference Room. This months choice is "Perennials" by Julie Cantrell. When two estranged sisters reunite for their parents' 50th anniversary, a family tragedy brings unexpected lessons of hope and healing amid the flowers of their mother's perennial garden. Free Computer Classes

The South Houston Branch Library offers free computer classes for adults every week. Tuesdays at 10:30 am we have computer classes in English, and the class subjects repeat on Thursdays at 10:30 am in Spanish. Classes are free and no registration is required.
