SAGE: Art Revival Workshop at Kingwood Library

Adults, join Jordan Ashby from Domestic Artistry Co. at Kingwood Library on Tuesday 6/18 at 10:00 am in the Meeting Room. Ms. Ashby will present a one day Art Revival Workshop: a hands-on guided process of taking an old painting and turn it into a new creation. For this class you will need to bring an 8 X 10 or 10 X 10 framed art or painted canvas. We will supply the painting supplies. Registration is required. TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2019. These free events require no registration.

Healthy Living With Chronic Conditions

Come to the library on June 13 at 1:00 PM to empower and improve your overall health and well-being! Join us for a special introductory presentation from Harris County Public Health on four self-management programs including chronic disease, diabetes, chronic pain and at matter of balance. While there, sign up for the two hour per week workshop over the course of 8 weeks.

Yoga for Adults, Wednesday evenings at 6:15 pm

Beginner level YOGA class every Wednesday evening at 6:15pm. Yoga is a system of physical exercises, breath control, and meditation aimed at attaining bodily and mental control and well-being. The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj, meaning to “yoke,” “join,” or “unite.” The word implies joining or integrating all aspects of the body with the mind to achieve a healthy and balanced life. Creative Art Club for Adults, Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 pm

Studies have shown that coloring and other art activities can help lower anxiety levels, reduce stress, and prevent boredom. Come and join us at the Northwest Branch Library and get in touch with your creative side. All materials will be provided by the library, event is free and open to the public.
