LEGO Robotics Camp Drawing Registration starts this Saturday, September 15

The LEGO Robotics Camp returns for four Saturdays in October -  10/6,10/13, 10/20, and 10/27.   This free camp is recommended for children 7-11 years old.  Children learn engineering and robotics principles as well as cooperation and patience.  The children work in pairs or small groups to build LEGO projects using a computer program to go through the steps in putting together the projects.

Due to the popularity of this camp, we will have a drawing for spaces.  We will have a registration for the drawing.   Drawing registration slips will be available at the Kids Information Desk starting this Saturday, September 15 through Saturday, September 22.  The children whose names are drawn will be notified by Friday, September 28.

Rain, Rain, Go Away! (And I Mean It!)

You should come to the library this week. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Despite all the rain, it really is worth it to come to the library. Yes, it’s wet and terrible, but it’s been raining for at least two weeks solid. The time for excuses has to end, even if it is hard to admit it.

To help you out, we have a lot of fun activities coming up at the library, which will give you the time to enjoy yourself in a free, indoor environment. That’s right. You get to be inside, you don’t have to pay anything, and our events are a guaranteed blast. Here’s some of them:

Wild Robot Escape Room!

Join us on September 11, 2018 at 4:45 pm for an awesome time in our escape room. Our theme is WILD ROBOTS. Solve puzzles and riddles to escape. You do not want to miss it!

A free ticket is required to attend. Please pick up your ticket 15 minutes prior to the start of the program at the Children’s information desk. If you have any questions please call us at 832-927-7800.
