A Switcheroo is Coming in June to the Children’s Programming Schedule at Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek

Mondays:   1:15 PM Preschool Storytime*
Wednesdays: 10:15 AM & 11:00 AM Toddler Time*
Thursdays:   10:15 AM Infant Storytime*

* These are ticketed programs.  Attendees must have a ticket to attend. Free tickets are available in the children's area of the library the day of the program.

National Children's Book Week Beanbag Toss

Join Mr. D in celebrating National Children's Book Week with a fun beanbag toss game. Participants will win a book! Sorry we cannot accommodate Daycare groups for this program. The fun begins Wednesday, May 3 at 3:15 pm.

Monday Movie Madness

Join us Monday, May 8 at 4:30pm when we'll view Kubo and the Two Strings on our big screen! Discover if young Kubo from Japan, son of a Samurai, with the help of Monkey and Beetle, will be successful in his quest to find a magical suit of armor, after unlocking a secret legacy. This feature is 1 hour and 41 minutes long and is rated PG. Don't forget  your pillows, blankets, and snacks! Recommended for ages 4 and up. No tickets required.

Cuentos Bilingües/Bilingual Storytime

Join us tonight, Monday, May 1st at 6:30 PM in the children’s area for Cuentos Bilingües, a bilingual storytime in English and Spanish. Tonight’s theme is Los Animales. This storytime is geared towards children ages 3 years+. This will be our last evening bilingual storytime of the Spring Session. Hope to see you there!

Children's Weekly Run-Down

CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Join us this week on Thursday the 4th of May @ 4 PM for our World Tour Book Club to explore different countries and their traditions and stories.

Our Story times continue as normal! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Preschool Storytime on Tuesday @ 2 PM, and Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

Family Storytime on Saturday, May 6 @ 11:00 am

Looking for something fun and free to do on Saturday morning before you have lunch?  Join us for Family Storytime on the first and third Satrudays of the month (May 6 and May 20) at 11:00 am.  This 30 minute storytime features books, songs, and fingerplays.   No tickets are needed for this program.  We meet in the Children's Department in the area where the puppet stage/blocks are housed.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting the purchase of supplies for this program throughout the year.

Tween Improv Program on Friday, May 5 @ 4:00 pm

Tweens 8-12 years old who like acting or comedy, will enjoy attending the Tween Improv program on Friday, May 5 @ 4:00 pm.  Tweens will get tips on how to perform and they can practice acting out scripted scenarios.  This will be a low-key opportunity for tweens to work together and gain confidence speaking out in a group.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk at 3:30 pm.
