Fantasy Football 101

There are still openings for our #FantasyFootball101 class happening on July 31st at 7pm.

To succeed in fantasy football, you will need the business shrewdness of a general manager, the knowledge of a pro scout, and the strategy of a head coach. Fantasy football allows you to compose and control your own team of NFL players. Learn the fundamentals of the game and discover where you can play different types of fantasy football to compete against friends and/or strangers.

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Festival. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2017. This free event requires no registration.

The Summer Film Festival continues with Event #4 on Friday, July 28 at 10:15 AM. Event #4 features "Strangers on a Train," the 1951 Alfred Hitchcock film - noir thriller which stars Farley Granger, Robert Walker, and Ruth Roman.

Green Thumb Lecture Series: Fall Vegetables

Fall gardenHave you ever thought about extending the growing season for your edibles into the fall?  If not, here’s your chance to find out how to grow and harvest autumn crops.  The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Harris County Master Gardeners will present their July lecture on fall vegetable gardening.  Get ready to get busy!  The days will eventually get cooler, working in the garden will be fun again, and hopefully, you’ll be ready to show off fall’s bounty.

The summer months can be uncomfortable for pets and people.
