New Hold Pick Up Location

We want to start by saying that we miss all of our wonderful patrons, and it has been nice to see you coming into open branches picking up holds and returning books.   We are happy to announce that starting Monday, September 18th we will be temporarily stationed at the Lone Star College – North Harris Campus located at 2700 W. W. Thorne Dr. Houston, TX 77073.  The contact number is 281-618-5400.  For your convenience, you will be able to pick up holds at the 2nd floor library and return books there as well .  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Mon-Thurs. 7:30 am-9:30 pm
Friday 1:00 pm-6 pm
Saturday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

Daya will discuss how meditation can help heal us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Learn how meditation can connect one to the universal fountainhead of divine peace, bliss, and illumination within us. Through meditation each of us can experience more peaceful, enriching and meaningful lives.

Journaling: Monday, Sept. 18th at 3:30pm. Please contact us via Facebook for location information.

Spanish Class with Oscar: Thursdays at 2pm. Spanish classes will be held at the Memorial Chase Clubhouse (9411 Landry Blvd, Spring, TX 77379).

Hurricane Harvey

Have you been affected by Hurricane Harvey?  This area of town, just west of the reservoirs has been hit hard by the subsequent flooding.  Thousands of people have lost their homes, cars, and belongings to Harvey.  If you are one of the many in our area, please know that the Maud Marks Library wants to help.

TGIF Programs Hosts FamilySearch Genealogy Friday Morning!

TGIF Programs hostd an introduction to the upcoming FamilySearch Genealogy Q&A on Friday, 9/8 at 10:30 AM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room. Local FamilySearch volunteers will be presenting.

Public Information Meeting at La Porte Junior High

There will be a public information meeting on the Draft Feasibility Study & Environmental Impact Statement for the Houston Ship Channel 45-foot Expansion Channel Improvement Project. The meeting will be held at La Porte Junior High School, 401 S. Broadway St., La Porte, Texas 77571 on Wednesday, September 27 6:30 - 8:30 pm. A copy of the study has been placed at La Porte Community Library for public viewing.
