TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Spring Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates throughout March 2018. These free event requires no registration.

We look forward to showing a 1939 romantic comedy about a stern Russian woman sent to Paris on official business finds herself attracted to a man who represents everything she is supposed to detest. This unrated film which lasts 110 minutes stars Greta Garbo, Melvyn Douglas, and Ina Claire.

The Kingwood Pop-up will be continuing through March! In addidtion to our regular storytimes we will also have a children’s nature education program provided by the Kingwood Garden Club and an Adult Crafternoon this month (Online registration required as space is limited)! Financial Aid Awareness Workshop

Are you lost trying to figure out financial aid for college? Don't know where to start or what to do? Other pressing issues you can't find answers to? Well, we have the workshop for you! 

Lone Star College - North Harris will be here hosting a Financial Aid Awareness Workshop for us. Join us on Tuesday, March 27th from 5-7pm and learn more about FAFSA, TAFSA, and scholarship applications.

March 21 Spin-a-Yarn and Word Crafters

Today is Wednesday, March 21 and we are happy to announce that we will have our two meetings again.  Spin-a-Yarn will meet @ 2pm on the third floor of the library building in the “makerspace” area of Lone Star College – North Harris.  If you like to craft, knit, sew, crochet, and chat this is the group for you.  Then later at 5:30 pm, Word Crafters will meet in the same area.  If you like to write, or would like to start, then come join us.  We would love to have you!  If you have any questions please call us at 281-765-7726, and ask for Carrie. Publisher Basics [8+] - Wednesday, March 28 at 5 PM


For those who want to create flyers, make brochures, or simply learn how to cut and paste pictures from the internet, the Parker Williams Branch Library will be having an introductory class for Microsoft Publisher.

Join Mr. John in the Computer Lab on Wednesday, March 28th at 5 PM. Pre-registration required. 

What is Popping Up this Spring

Spring has sprung for Baldwin Boettcher Library, and here are some things (old and new) we have going on for our wonderful community.  We still have our Pop-up Library at the Cypress Trails Methodist Church at 22801 Aldine Westfield Rd.   It will be every Monday until May 21 from 3:30 until 5:30 pm.  You can bring your returns, check out some books we have for you to browse, and bring your little ones to a story time and craft.

Magic: The Gathering Gameplay [8+] - Saturday, March 24 from 2-4 PM

Magic: The Gathering is a dueling card game from Wizards of the Coast.

It incorporates strategy, mythical lore, and competitive-community play. Join us on March 24th on the Library Floor for game play from 2-4 PM.

For those who would like to learn how to play, a staff member will be present to teach you.

Welcome Anne to High Meadows!

You may have noticed a new face here at High Meadows. Please welcome Anne, our new Library Specialist! Anne comes to us from the Octavia Fields Library. Anne will be teaching our new computer classes and hosting some additional programs for High Meadows. Here are some fun facts about High Meadows' newest staff member, Anne.
