Wednesday Adult Programs for The Little Blue Library


Today is Wed December 12 and Baldwin Boettcher Library is having two weekly adult programs for you.  At 11 am we have Spin-a-Yarn in the Mercer Botanic Center.   The address is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Carrie at 832-927-5480.  If you like to knit, crochet, create, and chat then this is the group for you.  Then at 5 pm we have our Word Crafters meeting in the Starbucks at 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd.   If you like to write or would like to start, come join us.   To see what programs we have coming up, please check our events calendar at HCPL.NET or just come by and see us at the Little Blue Library.  We would love to see you there!

Tuesday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Tuesday, Dec 11 and we will be having our Book Duct Tape Craft today at 4 pm.  It is for all 6 to 99 years and will take place under the Tree House.  All materials will be provided and there is no registration necessary.  If you would like to make a cool journal to give as a gift or for yourself, come join us!  We would love to have you join in!

Monday at the Little Blue Library

Today we have a lot in store for you at Baldwin Boettcher’s Little Blue Library.  At 10:30 am we have our Story Time in the Gardens.  It takes place under the Tree House and is for ages 2 to 6 years of age.  The theme this week is Birds, and it will be followed by a craft.  Then at 4 pm we will have our Watercolor Snowflake craft for ages 6 to 11 years.  It will also take place under the Tree House.  What’s better than snowflakes and watercolors?  Not much!  Let’s make watercolor snowflakes to decorate for the season.  For our adults we will have our ESL class at 6 pm taught by our beloved Cindy Groover.  It takes place at the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address is, 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, ple

Holiday Food Drive at Kingwood Library

 

Holiday Food drive @ Kingwood Library! Donations are accepted until Saturday, 12/15. Much needed items: canned tuna / chicken, canned stews & pasta with meat; peanut butter, canned fruits, canned veggies; tomatoes, tomato sauce, soups with meat & / or beans; pasta, spaghetti, macaroni, noodles, packages of dry beans.

Computer Classes @ Barbara Bush Library

Did you know that computer classes are back at the Barbara Bush Library? Our schedule of classes changes monthly in order to cover a wide variety of topics. Classes do require registration which can be done online here, or by contacting the library.

Donate Blood, Save Lives, Be a Hero! ¡Done sangre, salve vidas, sea un héroe!

Blood CenterYou don’t even have to leave the neighborhood. The Aldine Library will host a blood drive on Friday, December 14, from 1-4:30 pm. Please schedule an appointment to donate by calling 888-482-5663 or going here. You could save up to 3 lives and it won’t cost you anything but a little of your time!  If you or your loved one needed blood, you’d want the Blood Center to have an adequate supply, right?

Thursday and Friday at the Little Blue Library

Thursday, Dec 6 we had 3D Snowflakes Spectacular.  In the spirit of the season, and since it rarely snows here, we made 3D snowflakes to hang up anywhere and everywhere we can.  This program was for ages 11 to 18 years, but even the parents had a great time!  Now, today is Friday, Dec 7 and we will have our ESL class taught by Teresa Allen at 1 pm in the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address there is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.  This class is free to the public and is a service provided to the community members that would like to learn English.  No registration is necessary.  To see what programs we have coming up, check out our events calendar at hcpl.net, or come by and see us at the Little Blue Library.&nb

Caroling Event: Kingwood Park High Madrigals

The Kingwood Park High School Madrigal Choir is scheduled to perform at the Kingwood Branch Library on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm. Join us on the 2nd floor (Foyer) to hear some exciting and festive caroling! #holiday #cheer
