Adults - Join Us for TGIF Programs' Winter Film Fest Event #1 - Friday, 12/21 @ 10:15 AM

 

Adults - please join us for the first event of TGIF Programs Winter Film Fest on Friday, 12/21. We look forward to showing a 1983 Yuletide comedy set in the 1940s. This film, rated PG, lasts 94 Minutes.

Refreshments and DVD are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library. This free program requires no registration.

Tuesday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Tues Dec. 18, and we will have a craft program for adults at 3 pm.  It is a Terra Cota Christmas Tree Craft that will take place under the Tree house.  The participants will design a Christmas tree craft that can be a wonderful ornament or gift.  We will be using terra cotta pots, paints and other creative supplies.  Registration is required, and there are 2 spots left.  Just go to our website at hcpl.net and check our events calendar, then click on today’s craft and register.  We hope you join us! 

Senior Game Morning

Every Wednesday from 10am-12pm, seniors get together to play Rummikube, Dominoes, and other games. If you are in the area and would like to play games with us, please stop by on Wednesday mornings!

Monday at Baldwin Boettcher's Little Blue Library

Today is Monday and we have a several programs in store for you.  First at 10:30 am we have Story Time in the Gardens.  The theme this week is “winter”.  It will be followed by a craft.  It takes place under the Tree House, and is for ages 2 to 6 years.  Then at 4 pm we will have our Tween Readers Club for ages 9 to 12 years.  It also takes place under the Tree House.  Each month we read a book and then meet to discuss it and eat a delicious treat.  The book this time is “The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl”.  Then at 6 pm we will have our ESL class taught by our beloved Cindy Groover.  It takes place in the Mercer Botanic Center.

Wednesday Adult Programs for The Little Blue Library


Today is Wed December 12 and Baldwin Boettcher Library is having two weekly adult programs for you.  At 11 am we have Spin-a-Yarn in the Mercer Botanic Center.   The address is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Carrie at 832-927-5480.  If you like to knit, crochet, create, and chat then this is the group for you.  Then at 5 pm we have our Word Crafters meeting in the Starbucks at 1960 and Aldine Westfield Rd.   If you like to write or would like to start, come join us.   To see what programs we have coming up, please check our events calendar at HCPL.NET or just come by and see us at the Little Blue Library.  We would love to see you there!

Tuesday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Tuesday, Dec 11 and we will be having our Book Duct Tape Craft today at 4 pm.  It is for all 6 to 99 years and will take place under the Tree House.  All materials will be provided and there is no registration necessary.  If you would like to make a cool journal to give as a gift or for yourself, come join us!  We would love to have you join in!

Holiday Food Drive at Kingwood Library

 

Holiday Food drive @ Kingwood Library! Donations are accepted until Saturday, 12/15. Much needed items: canned tuna / chicken, canned stews & pasta with meat; peanut butter, canned fruits, canned veggies; tomatoes, tomato sauce, soups with meat & / or beans; pasta, spaghetti, macaroni, noodles, packages of dry beans.
