A Note from Akhila to You

With mixed emotions I want to share that I have been promoted as the Branch Manager at Maud Marks Library.  I’m really excited about the next chapter in my career and look forward to this new challenge.  At the same time I’m saddened to leave the Barbara Bush Library, staff, and the wonderful community who has given me so much love and support over the past 10 years.

I hope my contributions have made a positive impact on the families and community of the Library.  I’m confident the wonderful staff at Barbara Bush will continue the vision and values which I have striven for during my tenure.

I’m grateful for all the friendships and relationships I’ve developed at the Barbara Bush library.  I will cherish this for the rest of my career.

Science Explorers – Paint and Color [5+] - Wednesday, March 21 from 5 PM

One of the questions we get a lot is about teaching little ones science.

The best way for our beginning readers to learn about science is to explore the concepts by experience.

On Wednesday, March 21st at 5 PM in the Library Community Room, we will be hosting our first meeting of Science Explorers.

The kids will be able to learn and experience how different colors are made.

TGIF Programs - Spring Film Fest Event #2

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Spring Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates in March 2018. These free events requires no registration.

We look forward to showing Queen Christina, the 1933 story of the popular Swedish monarch who is loyal to her country. However, when she falls in love with a Spanish envoy, she must choose between the throne and the man she loves. This unrated film which lasts 99 minutes stars Greta Garbo, John Gilbert, and Ian Keith.
