E-Mail Basics Computer Class

Perhaps you have an e-mail account but haven't used it in some time, or maybe you have never had an e-mail account before but would like to begin to receive mail electronically. If you are interested in getting an e-mail account and becoming familiarized with how to use your account to keep in touch with family members and friends, we invite you to our free E-Mail Basics computer class next Tuesday, May 1 @ 10:30 am. No registration is required, and you don't have to have an existing e-mail to participate.

Computer Class-One on One Computer Help: Thursday, May 17, 1:30 pm-3:30 pm. Sign up for 30 minutes of one on one computer help.Registration needed. This class fills up quickly! 

Book Discussion for Adults: Monday, May 21, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Join the discussion for All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doer, a compelling, character-driven, historical fiction novel set in World War II. No registration required.

Tech Time: Quick Resume with MS Word [8+] - Wednesday, April 25 at 5 PM

Every time we apply for a job, paid or volunteer, they want to look at a resume to see what experience and education.

Join Mr. John in the Computer Lab on Wednesday, April 25gth at 5 PM to make a quick resume with the different templates that MS Word has to offer.

Be Your Own Auto Mechanic

Are you tired of paying a mechanic to do things you suspect you could do yourself? Then come and learn about a digital resource that will make it possible! The Chilton database is free to library card holders and will walk you step by step through thousands of repair and maintenance projects for hundreds of models of cars and trucks. We will host a demonstration in our computer lab on Saturday, April 21, at 10:00 am. Space is limited, so call, stop by, or register through our events calendar.

Every month we offer a different variety of classes ranging from Basic Computer Skills to Microsoft Power Point and Excel. 
Registration is required and can be done at the front desk of the library or over the phone at 281-457-1631. Registration is available on the 15th of every month prior to the classes.

Publisher Basics [8+] - Wednesday, March 28 at 5 PM

 

For those who want to create flyers, make brochures, or simply learn how to cut and paste pictures from the internet, the Parker Williams Branch Library will be having an introductory class for Microsoft Publisher.

Welcome Anne to High Meadows!

You may have noticed a new face here at High Meadows. Please welcome Anne, our new Library Specialist! Anne comes to us from the Octavia Fields Library. Anne will be teaching our new computer classes and hosting some additional programs for High Meadows. Here are some fun facts about High Meadows' newest staff member, Anne. 

Computer Classes are Back!

Computer Classes have resumed again here at High Meadows. We have a new instructor and she's already created a great lineup of classes in English and Spanish! 

Classes are free and do not require registration. That's right, you can just come on in and join a free class!
