In this Tuesday evening computer class on May 23 you'll have two hours to learn about some of the most popular online apps for your iPad and Android tablets. We'll go over different apps than can be used to organize and simplify your life as well as  learn about a few apps that are just for fun. The program is from 7 PM - 9 PM with limited seating so please register here.

Adding pictures to your document can be a great way to illustrate important information or add decorative accents to existing text. Come and let us show you how to work with Image, Wordart & Text Boxes in WORD 2013. The class will be Thursday, May 11 at 10:30 am -12:30 pm. Openings available.

Technology education classes and topics for the Month of May at the Northwest Branch Library include:


Emedia & Apps Workshops

 A staff member will be available to provide hands on assistance with ebook/eaudiobook downloads through Overdrive/HOOPLA/Recorded books on devices such as I-Pads, Kindles, and Smart Phones. Staff will answer questions and troubleshoot problems that customers may be encounter while using a digital library service. Tuesday's at 3:00pm and Saturdays on 5/6 & 5/20 at 10:00am.

Book Discussion- ‘Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet’ by Jamie Ford: Monday, May 15, 6:30 pm-7:30 pm. In honor of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, join us for a discussion of this historical fiction novel. Henry, a Chinese American, remembers a young Japanese American girl from his childhood in the 1940s--Keiko Okabe--with whom he forged a bond of friendship and innocent love that transcended the prejudices of their Old World ancestors.

We will also demo how to add attachments to a email message and how to save attachments you've received to your PC. The class will be held Thursday, May 4 at 10:30 am. All classes are scheduled for Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.  One-on-one sessions are 30 minutes each.
