Children's Weekly Run Down!

CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Welcome to week four of our summer reading program here at the Kingwood Library! Be here for Toddler Time on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and Thursday, and Preschool Storytime on Wednesday @ 10 and 11 AM. Tickets required upon entry for Infant Lapsit, Toddler Time, and Preschool Storytime. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets are limited and will be available the day of the scheduled event. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

MONDAY: Join us for our second Maker Monday @ 2:15 PM! Libraries are out of this world, and we have a ton of space crafts and activities to share with you! Join us every week for a new themed activity.

Evelyn Meador Library's Birthday!

On June 27th, starting at 3:30, come in to the library to celebrate our birthday! We'll have events all around the library, so come in and:

  • Meet Happy the Clown and eat birthday cake!
  • Make personalized buttons in the Teen Isle.
  • Play with electronics and learn about our maker materials in our Maker Space.
  • Learn about our technology classes in the Computer Lab.
  • Make crafts and play games in the Children's area.
  • Find out about our new seed exchange and much more!

This will be a great event, so make sure you come out and have fun with us!

This summer is "A Universe of Stories"!

SRP Slyer

WELCOME TO SRP! This Coming Monday, the 3rd of June, is the first day of our Summer Reading Program: A Universe of Stories! We are celebrating the Kick off of SRP on Monday, the 3rd, with a special community event sponsored by Carrabba’s Italian Grill @ 2:30 PM. Join us for some delicious Italian food for all ages. This will be followed @ 4 PM with a special performance by Andyroo! Come sign up for SRP and get all the information you need.

3D Printer Orientation

This event requires registration.
You can register by visiting our website at: https://host4.evanced.info/harris/evanced/eventcalendar.asp or by calling us at the library at 832-937-7800.

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use the printer after receiving hands-on training.
Class size is limited.

Recommended for ages 8 - adult. Participants under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.

Summer is Here, Time to Read!

The Harris County Public Library is starting it’s Summer Reading Program, “A Universe of Stories”, on June 3rd, so it’s almost time to start reading! This year, record your reading on our website, or sign up on the Beanstack app, to earn points and prizes for all ages. Then come to the library to collect your prizes, like books, earbuds, and gift certificates.

Also, don’t forget to pick up a calendar of summer events at the library, or check them on our online calendar, so that you don’t miss out on great programs for all ages like educational classes, fun festivals, crafts, and other events.
