Adults - Friday, 11/17 @ 2 PM - Color Me In!

Join us in some relaxing Coloring for Adults. We will have coloring sheets to color and take home. pencils and crayons will be available to use while here. (Feel free to to bring your own.) Supplies are provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

No Pop Up Libraries November 20-24 But Returning November 28 and 30th

TurkeyThe Katherine Tyra @ Bear Creek Library will not be popping up during the week of Thanksgiving at either of our locations, but we will be back to our regular pop up schedule starting Tuesday, November 28th at the Bear Creek United Methodist Church from 11 am to 3 pm and at Clay's Restaurant on Thursday, November 30th, from 11 am to 3 pm.

When we return we will have a special Keepsake MakerSpace starting the week of November 28th to add to or replace any lost holiday ornaments.

We wish everyone a very happy holiday and can't wait to see you all November 28th and 30th.

A Novel Idea - December

A Novel Idea will be meeting on Wednesday, December 13th. December's book choice is In The Midst of Winter by Isabelle Allende. Join us from 11am-12pm as we discuss the peaks and pitfalls of In The Midst of Winter

Santa is Coming to Kingwood!

Santa LightSanta Claus is coming to town!! Santa will be at the Kingwood pop-up Library on November 28th from 10am-12pm. Come visit with Santa, tell him your Christmas wishes, and get your picture taken! Lapsit story time for ages 0 to 18 months will still be happening at 11 AM.

The Kingwood Pop-up Library is located at the Kingwood Community Center: 4102 Rustic Woods Dr. Kingwood, TX 77345. We will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Pokémon Club will be held at Clay's Restaurant at 4pm every Thursday. All school age children are invited to come and bring their Pokémon Cards or Nintendo DS for this event. TGIF Programs Friday Film Series - This Friday!

The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues Friday, November 17 at 10:15 AM. We look forward to showing the film based on Brian Selznick's "The Invention of Hugo Cabret." Asa Butterfield, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Christopher Lee star in this film. This film, Rated PG, lasts 126 minutes.

SCORE presents this workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs who are seriously considering starting a business. At the end of the workshop the participants will have the opportunity to meet with SCORE certified mentors for Free and Confidential counselling.

Everyone - Monday, 11/20 @ 3 PM - NaNoWriMo Write-In!

 

November is National Novel Writing Month! In support of NaNoWriMo, the library will host write-ins for aspiring authors. Bring your laptop, journal, or any other writing tools you need to work on your novel!

NC BOOK SALE THIS WEEKEND

Book SaleNorth Channel will hoid a Friends of the Library Book Sale this weekend, Friday and Saturday, November 10th and 11th, during library open hours.
All proceeds from the sale go directly to the North Channel Library to fund various library needs, such as craft programming, summer performers, books and other items.  Don't miss our book sale this weekend!
