Adults - Stellar Trivia Night Happens Monday, 7/29!


 

Get ready for Stellar Trivia Night at the library! Do you have tons of knowledge of random subjects? Do you like a little friendly competition? If so, then you should come to Trivia Night here at the library. Teams will compete against one another for the glory of the win. Bring your friends or come solo for a fun evening of facts!

Be here at 6:30 to form teams. The game will begin at 6:45.

Stellar Trivia Night will be sponsored by the Friends of Freeman Library.

TGIF Programs Summer Film Fest '19 Continues Friday @ 10:15 AM

 

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2019. These free events require no registration.

TGIF Programs continues its annual Summer Film Fest on Friday, 7/26 at 10:15 AM with the 2018 biopic which takes a look at the life of the astronaut, Neil Armstrong, and the legendary space mission that led him to become the first man to walk on the Moon on July 20, 1969. This PG-13 rated-film which features Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, and Jason Clarke lasts 141 minutes.

Two Space Authors and an Astronaut

Join us at the the Evelyn Meador Branch Library as we host two children's authors and an astronaut on July 25 at 1:30 PM. Welcome Marianne Dyson and Melanie Chrismer as they present about space and their popular children's books and then get the opportunity to talk to them and ask questions. Also, look forward to a special visitor as a NASA astronaut also joins our presenters in teaching kids about space. 

All ages are welcome at this event.

Adults - It happens Thursday, 7/18 at 7:00 PM - WikiTree Genealogy Class!

Come learn WikiTree, a free, collaborative, source/documentation based online single family tree. Whether you are already a seasoned researcher or just interested in starting your family tree research, WikiTree has something for everyone and this class will help you get started and learn how to build and add to your family history using WikiTree.

The Friends of Freeman Library support all the WikiTree Workshops.

Family Yoga

Parents and school age children, grades 3-12, are invited to come to our family yoga camp. Participants will learn yoga, breathing and meditation techniques. They will also learn how to share their feelings with each other. Light refreshments served.

Join us on Saturday July 13th from 12-5pm and learn yoga!

Adults - July's Craft-To-Go Kit - Now Available!

Adults - Stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up a Crafts-To-Go kit. This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This month, each kit will have the materials to make 1 beaded key chain. Starting Friday, July 05, this project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last. 1 craft kit/adult present.
