Friends of Fairbanks Library Bi-Annual Book Sale

Hello Everyone. It's that time of year of again! Our Friends will be having their Book Sale here at the Fairbanks Branch in the meeting room from 10am - 3pm, this Saturday, Dec. 10th. We are also looking for volunteers to help set up the day before on Friday, Dec 9th from 3-6 pm. If you're interested in volunteering for the setup, call us at the library: 713-466-4438. Book Sale This Weekend

book saleLooking to give some books this holiday season?  Come shop at the Friends of the North Channel Library Book Sale! The book sale will be this Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd during the library's open hours.  All proceeds from the sale go directly to the North Channel Library to fund various library needs, such as summer performers, books and other items.  Don't miss our book sale this weekend!

Presenters will take questions following the discussion.

Senior Care Advocacy Hosts Visit from CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics

Adults - Don't miss the visit from the CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics next Monday (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM). They will provide free flu shots & light refreshments.

Do you have bookshelves full of new or gently-used paperbacks, hardbacks, VHS movies or magazines and do not know what to do with them?  The Friends of the South Houston Library will gladly accept your donations!  For questions or more information please call the branch at 713-941-2385.  All proceeds from donations benefit future library programs at the South Houston Library.  

TGIF Programs Hosts "Maintaining Your Jr Outlook in a Sr Body"


Adults - Please join TGIF Programs on Friday, November 4 at 10:30 AM. Mary Schmitz-Brown B.S., CCRC, Assistant Director of Research, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Texas Medical Branch, will present "Maintaining Your Junior Outlook in a Senior Body—Eye Health and Safety Risks in an Aging Population."
