Everyone is invited to this beginner's writing group. Participants write a few pages each time in response to suggested prompts, and share if they wish in an informal setting.

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2019. These free events require no registration.

The Northwest Branch Library was established through the efforts of community members who understood the value of libraries to the community and also understand that libraries need community support to survive. The Friends of the Northwest Library are members of the community just like you - people who value the library and its services. We think of ourselves as the library's best friends. 3D Printer Orientation

This event requires registration.
You can register by visiting our website at: https://host4.evanced.info/harris/evanced/eventcalendar.asp or by calling us at the library at 832-937-7800.

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use the printer after receiving hands-on training.
Class size is limited.

Recommended for ages 8 - adult. Participants under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.

The Barbara Bush Library is creating a MakerLab and we would love your input! You are cordially invited to innovate, make, and collaborate! Come tinker with a myriad of materials, machines as well as robots.

If you bring a tshirt, you can use our cricut to make a customizable shirt! 

We look forward to you joining us to create innovative sparks leading to the ignition of a further inquiry and discovery to build a better world starting with our community.

Have you always wanted to express yourself by writing a blog but don’t know where to begin? Are you in need of a homepage to promote yourself? In this class, we will learn how to create a basic website using WordPress.com. No prior blogging or web design experience is needed.

You'll learn about WikiTree, a free, collaborative, source/documentation based online single family tree. Whether you are already a seasoned researcher or just interested in starting your family tree research, WikiTree has something for everyone and this class will help you get started and learn how to build and add to your family history using WikiTree.

The Harris County-Texas A&M Agrilife Extension and the Harris County Master Gardeners are pleased to offer the Green Thumb Gardening Series of lectures at the Freeman Library from January to October of 2019. Lectures will be held on the third Thursday of every month on a variety of topics. These Lectures are FREE.

The Green Thumb Gardening Series is supported by the Friends of Freeman Library.
