Holidays

The Northwest Branch Library will be closed on Memorial Day

The Northwest Branch Library will be closed Monday, May 29th in observance  of Memorial Day. The library will resume normal operating hours at 10:00a am on Tuesday, May 30th. Memorial Day commemorates the men and women who died while in the military service.   A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3:00 p.m. local time. Memorial Day observances are by no means limited to the big national cemeteries. In towns and cities across the land, veterans' groups, civic organizations, family groups, and individuals decorate graves with flowers or with small American flags on and in advance of Memorial Day. On the day itself, flags fly at half-mast, and relatives and friends visit the final resting places of their loved ones.

May Activities

May activities are up on the library's event calendar. Check out the many programs and services that are available to you here. Proudly serving the community of Cypress since 1984, Northwest Branch Library strives to provide innovative services, programs, and activities for customers of all ages. If you would like to ask a question about a particular service or program, please contact the Northwest Branch Library at 832-927-5460 or via email at nw@hcpl.net.
