Independence Day Closure

July 4th Closure

In observance of the upcoming Independence Day holiday, the Tomball Library will be closed Saturday, July 2nd through Monday, July 4th. The library will reopen for business Tuesday, July 5th at 8:00 am.

However you might be celebrating, we wish you a safe Fourth of July, and look forward to seeing you in the library for exciting summer programs next week!

Memorial Day Weekend Holiday Hours

Memorial DayWe will be open on Saturday, May 28 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  We will be closed on Monday, May 30.  We will reopen on Tuesday, May 31 at 10:00 am.

Library Closed on Memorial Day

Each Memorial Day we honor the brave men and women who have fallen while serving in the United States Armed Forces. In observance of the holiday, the library will remain open regular hours Friday and Saturday, but will be closed this coming Monday, May 30. The library will reopen for business Tuesday, May 31 at 8:00 am.

However you might be celebrating, we wish you a safe Memorial Day, and extend gratitude to those who have given their lives in service to their country.

Community Craft – Cherry Blossoms and Japanese Paper Dolls May 19th @ 3-5 PM [7+]


     In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, our community craft will be celebrating Japanese culture with two different projects.

     Our first project is creating your own print of cherry blossoms.

     Our second project involves a little origami as you make a Japanese paper doll with both geisha and samurai available.

     Come celebrate with us at the Parker Williams Branch on May 19th from 3 to 5 PM in the Library Community Room. 

Shake, Shake, Shaker Fun

Cinco de MayoNorth Channel will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Thursday, May 5, 2016 with a craft.

We will be making maracas out of different household items. 
Program starts at 4:30 pm so come ready to have some Shaker Fun.

Mother's Day story time during Baby Time

Mother's DayMother's Day is just around the corner on Sunday, May 8, 2016.

To celebrate our moms we will have a special story time on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Baby Time.
Following the stories, babies can make a special card just for their moms out of shredded pieces of construction paper. 

Baby Time is a year round program featuring stories, rhymes, songs, parachute, toys, and bubbles. It is a one on one program for child and parent/caregiver on Thursdays at 10:30 am.

Library Closed During Easter Holiday

bunnyIn observance of the Easter holiday, the North Channel Library will close at 5 pm on Thursday, March 24th and will remain closed until Monday, March 28th @ 1 pm. But don’t fret, you can still access our downloadable digital material even while waiting for the Easter Bunny! Check out the books, music, magazines, graphic novels and movies you can download for free all the time here.

Holiday Hours


Maud Marks Branch Library will close at 5 PM on Thursday, March 24 in observance of the Easter holiday. We will remain closed through the weekend. Regular hours resume Monday, March 28 with the library opening at 1 PM. eMedia items such as ebooks and audiobooks can still be borrowed by visiting our eBooks and More page.
