Decorate a Card For a Local Senior Center

Decorate a holiday card photographIf you have a few minutes during your next library visit, decorate a holiday card to brighten a senior's day! The Young Adult department is gathering Christmas/New Year’s cards to bring to a local senior center. Happy Holidays to everyone!

Community Craft – Holiday Printmaking December 21st @ 4 PM [7+]

 

Printmaking is an art form where you carve or etch an image into a medium, roll ink or paint onto it, and press it to paper or canvas.

For this holiday season, we are going to be etching seasonal designs into foam plates and printing them onto paper.

Join us on December 21st at 4 PM to experiment with a new art in the Library Community Room.

Please join us for the first event of TGIF Programs Winter Film Festival on Friday, December 15. We look forward to showing the 1938 film based on the Dickens yuletide classic which stars Reginald Owen, Gene Lockhart, and Kathleen Lockhart. The film lasts 69 minutes.

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town December 20th @ 6:30-8 PM [All Ages]

Clipity-clop on the Parker Williams rooftop, what’s that sound?

Is it an A/C repairman? A raccoon? Or, a reindeer!

Join us in the Library Community Room on December 20th for a special family Christmas Storytime from 6:30 to 8 PM with a visit from the man himself, Santa!

Bring your family camera for pictures and your holiday joy.

Santa will be here on December 21st from 1-3pm. Stop by and take a picture with Santa, enjoy some refreshments, and check out some books!

Holiday Book Tree Contest

Basic Life Skills – Buying Presents December 13th @ 5 PM [12+]

 

 

From Secret Santa to gifts on the big day, buying Christmas presents for others can be challenging.

Join Mr. John in the Library Community Room on December 13th at 5 PM to learn some tips and tricks to picking out the perfect gift. 

Holly & Latkes; Christmas and Hanukkah Storytime

Join the Fairbanks Library tomorrow December, 6 at 4:30 pm for the Holly and Latkes, Christmas and Hanukkah Story time. There will be storys, songs, and crafts. All ages are welcome, but space is limited. Pick up your ticket starting at 4:00 pm.
