Many people are seeking wellness and participate in detoxification regimens that cleanse the body by eliminating toxins. Detoxing has become mainstream. While we tend to our physical well-being and we often overlook the health of our mental or inner well-being. By detoxing our mind we can improve our thought patterns which in turn will calm the mind and bring about mental wellness and inner peace. Join Daya Sharma, a long time meditator, and learn how to implement a simple yet very powerful meditation technique that can be life changing.

Fly Girls - Celebrating Women's History Month - Wednesday, 3/20 at 6:00 PM

During a time when most women did not even have driver’s licenses, this group of women were flying military aircraft to help release male pilots for combat duty. Their duties included ferrying planes, towing targets to give ground and air gunners practice shooting with live ammunition. They also tested planes for sabotage and flew new planes to ensure instruments were safe. Come learn more about what this amazing group of women did for our country.

Tostada Time is Wednesday, 2/13 @ 6:30 PM!

Join Us Wednesday, 2/13 as the Freeman Taco Squad will show the audience how to make tasty tostadas. After the demo, attendees will be able to enjoy the prepared food.

This free event will require no registration. The refreshments prepared in this event will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library and our local H-E-B.

Lego in the Library

Bring your imagination and creativity for a fun Lego building program on Tuesday, March 26th @ 5pm. All materials are provided. This program is for children ages 5-12.

A free ticket is required and can be picked up 15 minutes prior to the program at the children's information desk. Child must be present to receive a ticket.

Try Our New Kits!

The Evelyn Meador Library is happy to announce the release of our Maker and Busy Kits for Children and Teens! These kits are available for checkout to use in the library, and will allow all ages access to our great library resources, like Legos, marble works, puppets, and doll houses! These kits are designed to help kids learn and have fun! Our Maker Kits are available for check out to anyone 10 and older and can be found at the Teen Isle Desk. The Busy Bags and Boxes can be checked out by anyone 8 and older and can be found at the Children’s desk. Come in today to check them out, and make sure you check them regularly.
