Join us on Tuesday, July 26th at 10:15 AM for Preschool Storytime. This week we will be reading about feelings and emotions before making a fun craft. Remember, a free ticket is required to attend this storytime, so don’t forget to grab one from the information desk before the program starts. Preschool Storytime is recommended for children ages 3-7.

Thursdays at Baby Time

Baby TimeBaby Time is year-round and recommended for infants and children up to 18 months. The program features stories, fingerplays, songs, nursery rhymes, toys, and bubbles. 
We have tons of fun learning new things and being surrounded by other parents and children. 
So come join us every Thursday morning at 10:30 am in the public meeting room.

**Don't forget to log your books and activities for the summer reading program.

Preschool Storytime: Creepy Crawlers

Join us on Tuesday, July 12th at 10:15 AM for a creepy-crawly Preschool Storytime. This week we are reading about insects and spiders! Yuck!

Remember, a free ticket is required to attend this program; Tickets are available at the information desk starting at 10:00 AM. Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3-7 years. Hope to see you there!

What's Happening Next Week? -Children's Edition

Hey Parents! Bring the kids next week for two great programs!

On Tuesday, July 12th, we will have the Nature Discovery Center presenting their Back to the Bone program! For kids who love animals, Back to the Bone talks about various animals and their backbones! Learn more about these animals with various specimens and live animals. Includes sorting and comparing skills.

Preschool Storytime: Father's Day

Join us on Tuesday, June 14th at 10:15 AM for Preschool Storytime. In anticipation of Father’s Day on June 19th, we will be reading about fathers before making a fun craft. Remember, Preschool Storytime is a ticketed program, so make sure to grab a free ticket from the information desk before the program starts. This storytime is geared towards children ages 3-6 years.

In case you can’t make it to storytime, there will also be a craft available in the children’s area from 10:00-11:30 AM, while supplies last.

Preschool Storytime: New Summer Time

Starting next Tuesday, June 7th, Preschool Storytime will move up to 10:15 AM for the summer. Join us next Tuesday as we read about soccer and make a fun craft. You need a free ticket to attend this storytime, so make sure to get one from the information desk the morning of the program. Preschool Storytime is geared towards children ages 3-6 years.

Preschool Storytime: Dinosaurs

Roarrr!!! Join us on Tuesday, May 24th at 10:30 AM for a Preschool Storytime about dinosaurs! We will be singing silly songs, reading awesome dinosaur books, and making a fun craft. Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3-5 years. Remember, you need a free ticket to attend this program, so make sure to grab one from the Information Desk before storytime starts.

Summer Reading Program is Coming to North Channel

Summer ReadingMark your calendars, the 2016 Summer Reading Program will kick off on June 6th, 2016 and run through August 6th.
There is a program for all ages including babies, kids, teens, and adults.

This year there will be prizes when you read or complete 10 activities – any combination works! Read 5 items and do 5 activities, read 7 items and do 3 activities or read a total of 10.

We have many activities scheduled for all ages, so be sure to check the Summer Programs on the online Events Calendar. Some programs require tickets that are available Mondays, the week of the program at the front desk.
Get ready for lots of fun.

Animal Origami - Story Time

Hey kids! Don't miss Story Time on Thursday, May 12th at 3pm. After the story, we will be making simple animal origami in the Jacinto City Library meeting room. Create your own animal from a variety of patterns to take home! Recommended for ages 4 and up. Read to Grow

Teens Reading with Young ChildrenJoin us Wednesday, May 11, at 5:00 pm in the Children's Library for an afterschool storytime for young children.  Read to Grow is a high school club where honors students will help promote language building and literacy for children by reading and sharing favorite stories. No registration is required. Just come and enjoy a good story.
