Santa Night at North Channel

SantaIt's Santa Night at North Channel Branch Library!

Come enjoy a fun Snowman themed storytime and pictures with Santa.
Don't forget your cameras!

The event will take place tonight, at 6:00 PM in our Public Meeting Room. Free tickets are required and available at the program. Tickets are 1 per family.

Jacinto City Storytimes Update!

Jacinto City Public Library has two storytimes available! 

Come enjoy books, songs and crafts geared to help introduce early literacy skills for young children.  

Sunset Storytime Tuesday, December 5th at Maud Marks

No Ghost Under My BedBring the entire family out to our bedtime storytime on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30 pm. Children are welcome to wear their pajamas. We will have stories, songs and rhymes for the whole family. The Sunset Storytime theme this week is penguins!

Barbara Bush Holiday Gathering

Join us for a Holiday Gathering on Saturday, December 2nd from 1pm to 3pm at the Cypress Creek Christian Church & Community Center (across from the library). 

We will have food, crafts, music, and Santa will be making a visit. You can check out and return books as well as get a library card. Bring the kids and join us for a fun afternoon! 

 

No Story Times the Week of Thanksgiving

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there will be no story times the week of Nov. 21 through Nov. 25. The story times will reconvene on Tuesday Nov. 28. All story times have limited space and tickets can be picked up when we open on the mornings of the story time.
Preschool Story Time: Tuesdays 10:15 am Ages 3-5
Baby Bookworms: Tuesdays 11:15 am Ages 0-18 months
Toddler Time: Wednesdays 10:30 am Ages 18 months-2 years

Infant Time is Back at the Katherine Tyra Pop Up Library @ Bear Creek United Methodist Church

If you haven't dropped by our pop up library at the United Methodist Church, 16000 Rippling Water, on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 3 PM, we hope that you will.


InfantThis week we are adding an Infant Time to our weekly programming at this location.
You can find us in the tan buildings on the backside of the parking lot in room Hope 1 and Hope 2.


Join Us Tuesday, November 14 at the Bear Creek United Methodist Church for:
*Storytime at 11:15 AM -Theme: Trucks (Storytime is an early literacy program for children of all age where we share stories, sing songs and enjoy a craft.)
*Infant Time at 2:00 PM -Theme: Our Senses (Infant Time is an early literacy program for children birth to 18 months of age. In Infant Time we learn finger plays, share stories, sing songs and socialize during playtime with developmental toys)
* Library Material Check Out and Returns
*New Card Services and Replacement Card Services
*Internet Cafe

The first meeting of the new Doctor Who Club! Saturday, Nov. 4, 1:00 pm.
Kids’ Book Club (ages 7-11), Monday, Nov. 6, 4:00 pm. This month’s book is “One Trick Pony” by Nathan Hale. You can come and hang out, even if you haven’t read the book.
Krafty Korner, Tuesday, Nov. 7, 1:00 pm. Adult crafts are back! This week we’re making coasters from wine corks.
Animé Club, Tuesday, Nov. 7, 3:30 pm. Movies, tv, books, games and more!

Kingwood Pop-Up Library! Updated!

While our building is currently closed the Kingwood Library staff has been hard at work to bring our services back to the community. We are happy to announce that we will be starting a Pop-Up Library at the Kingwood Community Center next week on Wednesday, November 8th!


Join us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM for story times, checkouts from a small selection of materials, returns, and new card registration! The Kingwood Community center is located at 4102 Rustic Woods Dr, Kingwood, TX 77345. 

We will have Lapsit story time, for ages 0 to 18 months, on Tuesdays and Toddler Time, for ages 18 months to 3 years old, on Wednesdays. Both Tuesdays and Wednesdays will also have an all ages Family Story time.
