Teen Escape Room Challenge - July 13 @ 6:30 PM

If you like riddles or just want to test your mind against our codes and puzzles, we challenge you to ESCAPE the ROOM! Break out with time to spare and see just how much loot you can get out with. The fun starts on Thursday, July 13, at 6:30 PM in the Teen Room. (Once the program has started, late arrivals may not be able to participate.)

Healthy Hip-Hop Show

Join us on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 4pm- 5pm in the park adjacent to the library. Houston Healthy Hip-Hop & Fly Dance Company will be here to present the new "Healthy Hip-Hop Show”. The talented, comical dancers of FLY invite you to experience the world of Hip Hop in a non-stop, fast-action, fun for all ages show. The all-male group is youthful, masculine, risk-taking, acrobatic,funky, and fun—who act as well as dance! Through various skits the students will be informed on how leading a healthy, active lifestyle will improve everyday activities. Then the fun begins as we share some history of the Hip Hop culture, including its origins and inspirations. Program is recommended for children of all ages.

Balloon Twisting Workshop

It's a balloon twisting workshop taught by "The Amazing Geebo"! Recommended for kids 7 and up. No pre-registration required. The program begins Thursday, July 20 at 2:00 pm.

Teens: Build a Better Competition

Rice Crispy TreatTeens and Tweens, it's time for another Build a Better Competition. Today your challenge will be Rice Crispies. So grab your teammates, invite your friends and come join us today at 4:30 PM in the Public Meeting Room for a fun, edible challenge. 

On Thursday we will have an Edible Architecture program where you can use candy to build famous structures.
Keep logging books, minutes, and activities to earn prizes this summer at North Channel Library. 

Wednesday @ 10 AM - Adult Craft-In: Safety Pin Bracelet

Adults - Wednesday 7/12 @ 10 AM - If you're signed up, don't forget to join us For the second of three Adult Craft In's this summer join us and learn how to make a colorful and easy safety pin bracelet.

About our instructor: After being diagnosed with a chronic health disorder, Rosalinda was introduced to Yoga. She has found healing and a myriad of health benefits from her practice. As a Yoga teacher, she seeks to inspire and encourage the intentional development of a healthy and balanced mind, body and spirit through yoga and meditation.

No need to bring anything, but please dress comfortably. Free. No registration required.

Monday Movie Madness

Hey Lego Fans, and Batman Fans! Today for our Summer Reading Monday Movie Madness we will be watching THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE on our big screen. Don't forget your pillows, blankets, and snacks and join us in the Public Meeting Room at 3 PM. The movie will run for 2 hours and 9 mins. and is rated PG.

Movie Programs are recommended for Children ages 4 and up and require Free Tickets that can be picked up at the front desk of the library. Please call 281-457-1631 for any questions.

Microsoft EXCEL and BUDGETS - NEW CLASS! - MON July 10 @ 5
Bring all of your questions for another hour of FREE Basic computer operation instruction! We will be learning Microsoft Excel 2013 and working on BUDGETS!

We are going to cover Excel specifically for creating or editing budgets, whether personal or work-related. Bring your budget rough draft or some ideas and let’s get started on that budget!

Community Craft – Trash to Treasure Recycled Puppets July 14th @ 3 PM [8+]



Every time we throw away a container, we are losing a piece of potential. Recyclables that are considered trash could be turned into treasure.

Join us at 3PM in the Library Community Room on July 14th to turn recyclables into puppets. Refreshments will be provided by the Parker Williams Branch Friends of the Library.
