Teens: Ramen and K-Pop @ the Library

Calling all Teens and Tweens in grades 6-12! Next week's teen programs are full of great food and dancing. No registration required!

Learn how to Build a Better Ramen on June 21st at 3pm. We will be making ramen with a variety of toppings that takes ramen to the next level.

Love Kpop? Join us for So You Think You Can Kpop Dance on Thursday, June 22nd at 3pm. You can learn the latest Kpop moves and enjoy Korean snacks. You might even win some merch from your faves. 

 

Summer Reading Program @ NC

FinishersSummer Reading Program is going strong and North Channel customers are already completing the program to earn their prizes. Congratulations to Henry for being the first child to gain all 500 points and get his free book and other prizes. Bryan is our first adult to complete the Summer Reading Program and earn his prizes. 
Every 100 points gets a prize for all levels, Babies, Kids, Teens, and Adults. 10 points for every book read, 5 points for 20 minutes read, or 5 points for any activities including visiting the library and coming to a Library Program.

Ms. Monkey's Show

Join us on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 @ 3 pm  to monkey around with Sasha, Cody & Darwin. They're three of the friendliest, most loving trained Capuchin monkeys. They will be here to entertain the children and will be available after the program to take pictures! No registration is required to attend, Space is Limited so please arrive early. Teen 3D Printer Lab - June 15 @ 6:30 PM

Teens will learn the basics of TinkerCAD, a 3D design program, to create their own design, that can then be printed using Kingwood Library’s Ultimaker 3D printer. Class will be held on Thursday, June 15, starting at 6:30 PM, in the computer lab. Please note that an email address is required to create a TinkerCAD account.

Program: Captain Carol Curtiss-'Life of a Merchant Marine Officer'

Captain Carol Curtiss will talk about her experiences in the Merchant Marines as one of the first women officers aboard Ocean-going Merchant Cargo ships. Captain Carol is an entertaining speaker! Her stories are included in her new book: 'Deep as the Ocean'. Free! No registration required.

Tween Game Day - June 13 @ 2:00 PM

Monopoly! Trouble! Sorry! Bananagrams! Do you enjoy playing board and card games? Then come by the Kingwood Library today, June 13, at 2:00 PM, for Tween Game Day. Play the library’s games or bring your own!

STEM Time – The Design/Prototype Process June 19th @ 5 PM [8+]

 

Have you ever wondered why there are different versions and editions of technology and other inventions?

In the “Build a Better World” spirit, we will be exploring the design process used in the development and prototyping phases of creating a new invention.

Help us invent something new on June 19th at 5 PM in the Library Community Room.

Cancelled Lady Bug Program Replaced by Mad Science

Teen Gaming Tournament - June 12 @ 1:30 PM

Calling all gamers! Do you have what it takes to finish the fight? A Super Smash Bros Wii Tournament will be held this coming Monday, June 12, at 1:30 PM, in the Teen Game Room. Join the brawl for a chance to win a trophy!

The HCPL Summer Reading Program is back at Maud Marks Library!

We’ve got a new sign up system and great new prizes too! All ages are invited to participate by earning points reading or performing other activities.
