Harry Potter Party

Everyone is welcome at our Harry Potter Party tomorrow, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2pm.  Stop by the library at 1pm to pick up your ticket and then head over to the Lion's Club across the parking lot at 2pm for crafts, games, and snacks!

End of Summer Party!

Come join our end-of-summer party this Wednesday, August 2 at 10:00 am. Participate in a variety of games and enjoy light refreshments as we celebrate the summer we’ve had and anticipate the year to come.

Teen Cross-Stitch - July 31 @ 1:30 PM

We will be sewing cross-stitch designs with a modern flair on Monday, July 31, from 1:30-3:30. Beginners to Advanced Cross-Stitchers welcomed! Show off your personality with your own needlework!

Pokémon Club @ NC

Pokemon ClubPokémon Club will meet this Saturday, July 29th, at 3 PM in the Public Meeting Room. Bring your Pokémon cards, DS games, or phones to battle other Pokémon trainers at North Channel Library.
Pokémon Club meets the last Saturday of every month for gaming and small crafts or movies. Please contact us at 281-457-1631 for any questions.

Teen Harry Potter Lock-In! - July 28 @ 6:00-8:30 PM

No matter your school or house affiliation, all are welcome at the Harry Potter Lock-in! We'll have prizes, games, and food! If you're still sad you never got your Hogwarts letter then you won't want to miss out on the magic that will be happening on Friday, July 28 from 6:00-8:30 PM.

**This program takes place after library hours. Permission slip required.** Pick up permission slip from the upstairs reference desk.

Fantasy Football 101

There are still openings for our #FantasyFootball101 class happening on July 31st at 7pm.

To succeed in fantasy football, you will need the business shrewdness of a general manager, the knowledge of a pro scout, and the strategy of a head coach. Fantasy football allows you to compose and control your own team of NFL players. Learn the fundamentals of the game and discover where you can play different types of fantasy football to compete against friends and/or strangers.

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Festival. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2017. This free event requires no registration.

The Summer Film Festival continues with Event #4 on Friday, July 28 at 10:15 AM. Event #4 features "Strangers on a Train," the 1951 Alfred Hitchcock film - noir thriller which stars Farley Granger, Robert Walker, and Ruth Roman.

Adults - Thursday, 7/27 @ 6:30 - YouTube Basics for Content Creators!

Have you ever wanted to use your webcamera to create videos and promote them through YouTube? Many people are creating engaging, fun content on YouTube, some of whom have even launched careers through it! Basics of account creation and management will be discussed, as well as a quick tutorial on how to create a trailer reaction video.

This Summer Reading Program event assumes a basic mastery of computers, internet usage, and email usage from its attendees. The Friends of Freeman Library support this program.
