Tournament of Books Teen Competition: Will you be LSC-Tomball Library's Winning Team?

Tournament of Books LogoCalling all teens! Do you want a chance to win a free Kindle Fire or an Amazon gift card? Do you want to read more, spend more time with friends, and enjoy friendly competition in 2018? The Tournament of Books program is a perfect way to meet all of these goals.
Lone Star College Tomball Community Library is one of the 12 locations hosting this FREE program. Gather up three friends, read 15 books among you, come to monthly book parties, and compete for a chance to become Harris County’s Tournament of Books championship team!

STEM Time – Science of Weight Gain and Loss [13+] Wednesday, January 10 at 5 PM

Winter Break Youth Activities

The Parker Williams Branch Library is providing a variety of different programs in addition to our regular 10:30 AM Wednesday Storytime and 10:30 AM Thursday Toddler Time:

Tuesday, January 2 from 1-4 PM – Extended Magic: The Gathering Gameplay [8+]


Magic: The Gathering is a dueling card game from Wizards of the Coast. It incorporates strategy, mythical lore, and competitive-community play.

Join us on January 2nd on the Library Floor for an extended hours of game play from 1-4 PM. For those who would like to learn how to play, a staff member will be present to teach you.

For December, the Parker Williams Anime Club is going into overtime as we play the feature film Trigun: Badlands Rumble.

If you’re looking for something to do during Winter Break, enjoy a movie and some cocoa in your very own custom Spider-Mug, made by you.

On December 27th, the Parker Williams Branch will be playing Spiderman: Homecoming at 3 PM in the Library Community Room while you design a mug.

Snacks, and cocoa, are generously provided by the Parker Williams Friends of the Library. 

Decorate a Card For a Local Senior Center

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town December 20th @ 6:30-8 PM [All Ages]

Clipity-clop on the Parker Williams rooftop, what’s that sound?

Is it an A/C repairman? A raccoon? Or, a reindeer!

Join us in the Library Community Room on December 20th for a special family Christmas Storytime from 6:30 to 8 PM with a visit from the man himself, Santa!

Teens & Adults - Saturday, 12/16 @ 10:30 AM - Bright Futures College Financial Planning Seminar!

No one wants to be "a day late and a dollar short" - especially in regards to a higher education. Elana Denham of Bright Futures Consulting will provide parents and students with clear, relevant information on financial planning for before, during, and after college. This includes a review of financial aid and repayment plans, and spotlights Texas-specific programs.
