Toddler Time Valentine Party Rescheduled

Valentine PartyHAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY from the North Channel Staff.
Due to inclement weather, the Toddler Time Valentine Party will be rescheduled for next Tuesday, Feb. 21st.  Story time will take place as normal. Please contact the library at 281-457-1631 for any questions or concerns. Please stay safe. XOXOXO

Preschool and Toddler Storytimes

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend with friends and family while some of enjoy watching the Super Bowl.  This is just a reminder starting next week all kids will have to have a ticket before attending Preschool Storytime on Tuesday at 10:30 am or Toddler Storytime on Wednesday at 10:30 am.  The tickets will be on a table in the Children's Area starting when we open to pick up.  This is a measure put in place to insure everyone's safety in case of an emergency.

Child craftDr. Martin Luther King, Jr. always said that love was more powerful than hate. In honor of his birthday, which was January 15, the Aldine library’s story times for the month of January are all about friendship. Our English language story times for children 18 months-3 years are every Tuesday at 10:30 am. Our bilingual story times for children 3-6 years old are every Thursday at 10:30 am. New Storytime Hours

Hello Parents. Next Tuesday, September 6, the Jacinto City Branch will start conducting Storytimes on Tuesday mornings. We will kick off our new schedule with a Dragons theme. Toddler Time (ages 1-3) at 10:30 am and Children's Storytime (ages 3-6) at 11:30 am. You can also meet our new Youth Services Librarian and Story Teller, Lily De La Fuente. Aside from stories there will be fingerplays, songs and crafts. For more information, call us at 713-673-3237.

Summer Reading Program is Coming to North Channel

Summer ReadingMark your calendars, the 2016 Summer Reading Program will kick off on June 6th, 2016 and run through August 6th.
There is a program for all ages including babies, kids, teens, and adults.

This year there will be prizes when you read or complete 10 activities – any combination works! Read 5 items and do 5 activities, read 7 items and do 3 activities or read a total of 10.

We have many activities scheduled for all ages, so be sure to check the Summer Programs on the online Events Calendar. Some programs require tickets that are available Mondays, the week of the program at the front desk.
Get ready for lots of fun.

Art Fusion: Rice Paper Prints

Egg Hunt at Toddler Time!

Spring Break Fun on Tuesday @ North Channel Library

Deussen Park Travelling NaturalistJoin us for some fun activities this Spring Break at North Channel Library. Every Tuesday at 10:30 am is Toddler Time, and this Tuesday, March 15, 2016 we have a special Storybook Opera presented by the Houston Grand Opera.  In place of PreSchool Storytime which is every Tuesday at 1:30 pm, we will have a guest from Deussen Park's Travelling Naturalist join us. You'll get the chance to see and touch live animals at this Polliwog Club Session.

Spring Break 2016 At the Parker Williams Branch
