The Barbara Bush Library is creating a MakerLab and we would love your input! You are cordially invited to innovate, make, and collaborate! Come tinker with a myriad of materials, machines as well as robots.

If you bring a tshirt, you can use our cricut to make a customizable shirt! 

We look forward to you joining us to create innovative sparks leading to the ignition of a further inquiry and discovery to build a better world starting with our community.

Join us on May 18th anytime from 11 am to 1 pm. All ages welcome!

Celebrate National Library Week with Us!

April 7-14 is National Library Week and we want you to celebrate with us! Here's what we have planned all next week and how you can join us in sharing your love for the library. 

We will have our #ilovemylibrary frame out at the customer service desk for you to come by and snap a photo showing your love for your library. Post it to social media and tag us!

Early voting for the Harris County Flood Control District Bond Election will take place August 8 through August 21.  Visit the library during the following hours to vote:

August 8 - 10        8 am  - 4:30 pm

August 13 - 14      8 am - 4:30 pm

August 15 -  18     7 am - 7 pm

August 19             1 pm - 6 pm

August 20 - 21      7 am - 7 pm

Re Opening Soon!

We are happy to announce that the Barbara Bush Library will be reopening on Monday, May 14th at 1pm. It's been a long road from August 2017 when Hurricane Harvey put us out of commission, but we are back and ready to serve the community again. 

There will be a grand opening planned for June 2018. Details on that will be coming soon! 

We can't wait to see you all again!

February 24: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
February 25: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
February 26 - March 2: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Kingwood Pop-Up Continues!

Adult Crafternoon Flyer

The Kingwood Pop-up will be continuing through the first half of February but due to early voting needs we will be taking a break for the second half (20th, 21st, 27th and 28th). In addidtion to our regular storytimes we will also have two Adult Crafternoons this month (Online registration required as space is limited)! Join us for Adult Crafternoon, Lapsit Storytime, Toddler Storytime and Family Storytime on the following dates:

Tuesday, February 6: Lapsit Story Time @ 11 AM and Family Story Time @ 4 PM.
Wednesday, February 7: Toddler Time @ 11 AM, Adult Crafternoon @ 1 PM, and Family Story Time @ 4 PM.
Tuesday, Februrary 13: Lapsit Story Time @ 11 AM and Family Story Time @ 4 PM.
Wednesday, February 14: Toddler Time @ 11 AM, Adult Crafternoon @ 1 PM, and Family Story Time @ 4 PM.
