Doris Day

On April 3, Doris Day will celebrate her 90th birthday.  And I plan to watch a few of her movies to commemorate.

However, it will be difficult to choose just a few.  I mean, Doris Day starred in so many fun films that I love.  Because Day could do it all.  From her beginnings in musical comedies, she branched out into dramas and straight comedies.  Her co-stars were among the top talents in Hollywood.  From the late 40s through the early 70s, she worked steadily before finally retiring to devote her time to animal welfare and rescue.

In Memoriam 2013 – Part 2

Fall into These Audios

With the fall season in full swing, it’s time to get in the mood for one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving. But before the big dinner and catching up with family and friends, I know many of you will be in the same boat as I am – spending a lot of time traveling or running countless errands in order to get ready for the big day.

No matter what your holiday plans are, a cozy audio will keep you feeling warm inside and out as you pass the time. The audios below are only a small sampling of the selection HCPL has to offer in cozy mysteries and fall-themed fiction. What is your favorite thing to listen to when fall comes around?
