Teen Tech Week @NC

TeenTechWeek2015This week, March 8th – 14th, is Teen Tech Week 2015. This year’s theme is “Libraries are for Making!”  North Channel Branch will host two Teen Tech Week programs for teens and tweens.  

Book Sale This Weekend

readingHelp the library raise money and stock your bookshelves at the same time!  The Friends of the North Channel Library will be holding their monthly Book Sale this Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th during the library's open hours.  The Friends group has all types of books and movies for sale.  All proceeds from the sale go directly to the North Channel Library to fund various library needs, such as summer

Stop by the North Channel Branch Library to play games on the Wii.  We’ll be hanging out in the meeting room from 4:30 to 6 pm on Wednesday, March 4th.

Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration!

We'll be celebrating Theodore Geisel's birthday this Monday, March 2 with a story, photo booth action, activities and tasty treats!  The fun starts at 4:30pm in the Public Meeting Room so don't be late! STEAM Camp: Hour of Code

frozen codeT is for technology!  Join us on Monday, February 23rd @ 6 pm for our second session of STEAM Camp.  We will be learning how to code with Frozen and Angry Birds!  This program is for children 6 and up and is limited to 20 participants.  Pick up a free ticket at the front desk.

Faithful Paws@NChannel Branch!

 Would you like to cuddle up with a good book and a friendly pooch? Then come on down to the Children's Area this Saturday, February 21 from 2-3pm!  The North Channel Branch hosts the Faithful Paws Pet Therapy program every third Saturday all year long.  Well trained and groomed dogs will listen to beginning,struggling, or any interested readers to build their confidence or just have fun...

Strings Attached

YarnandNeedlesStrings Attached, the North Channel Branch's needle crafting group, will meet on the third Wednesday this month.  This month we will gather in the meeting room on Feburary 18th. The intermediate group will meet at 1:30 pm. The beginners group will meet at 4:30 pm.  If you are interested in learning how to knit or crochet, please feel to join us.   Come, learn a new skill, meet a new friend and create a one-of-a-kind memory!

Polliwog Club @ North Channel Library

Do you like animals? Deussen Park's Traveling Naturalist will be here this Tuesday, February 17 at 1:30pm at Preschool Storytime, as well as every third Tuesday this Spring with Animals Underground!
