Tween Time: Washi Projects

Create fun projects with us at Tween Time on Wednesday, March 29 at 4:30pm when we'll use Washi tape to make coasters and other items. We'll meet in the Public Meeting Room. This program is recommended for ages 9- 12 years. All materials are supplied.

Project Peep Ending Soon at North Channel

Project PeepProject Peep is sadly coming to a close here at North Channel Library. Stop by anytime during open hours to see them in the brooder near the front desk.
We will have our final goodbyes on Saturday, March 25th at 10:30 AM at our Project Peep Reunion Party in the Public Meeting Room. The farmer will be here from Blue Star Ranch, and the Foster Families will also share their fun memories and scientific journals. There will also be light refreshments and cake at the party.

North Channel Book Club

Blank Book CoverWe will be reading the works of John Grisham on Wednesday, Mar. 22nd at 10 am.  Join us for refreshments and lively discussion.  Choose any book he has written and come talk about it with us.  We will also have an eBook tutorial and learn how to download titles from the library's digital collection to our electronic devices, such as Kindle, Nook, or onto our smartphones.

Once Upon a Time...

Fly on in to Preschool Storytime this Wednesday, March 22 at 1:30pm when we'll share fairy tale themed books featuring dragons, princesses, castles and more! Create your own individual crown for a keepsake too...Preschool Storytime is a weekly program offered all year long which features books, flannelboard stories, fingerplays, songs and activities including occasional crafts to encourage pre-literacy in children ages 3- 6 years.  ©2017 Vital Imagery Ltd.

 

Happy St. Patrick's Day

In story time this week we made our own rainbow bracelets out of Fruit Loops cereal.
Next week in Toddler Time we will be reading books about elephants and talking about the letter E.

Toddler Time is every Tuesday at 10:30 AM for ages 18 months - 3 years old.
Look out for changes coming soon including a time change and free tickets available. 

Teen Book Trailer @ NC

Teen varietyTeens, you are invited to join North Channel Library's Teen Book Trailer.  

Stop by the library and find out what other teens are reading.  Teens will be the driving force behind the Book Trailer, where you will be able to discuss and share your favorite books, authors and recommendations with your friends.

We will get together in the meeting room on Saturday, March 18th, at 1 pm.  There will be refreshments.

Project Peep and Pokémon at North Channel

Project peepProject Peep is still underway at North Channel Branch Library. Baby chicks are now 7 days old and growing fast. Stop by the display case near the front desk to see them grow and play. 
If you can't make it by the library, you can follow "harriscountypl" on YouTube to watch live feed.
Today "Natu" from Pokémon Go decided to hang with the baby chicks and we were able to snap a picture. Pokémon Club will be March 25th at 3 PM.

Aladdin & Princess Jasmine

Who flies on a a magic carpet and has a genie for a best buddy? Aladdin of course! Join us for a special Spring Break treat when Marionette Playhouse performs Aladdin and Princess Jasmine this Wednesday, March 15 at 2:30pm. in the Children's Area.
