Get Your Vote On!

Will Texas be a red or blue state this election year? Make your voice heard! Early voting is being held here at North Channel Branch the next few weeks. Early Voting Hours of Operation: Monday, October 24 - Friday, October 28  8am - 6pm, Saturday, October 29  7am - 7pm, Sunday, October 30  1pm- 6pm, Monday, October 31 - Friday, November 4 7am - 7pm. Harris County residents may early vote in any precinct.  See for further information such as sample ballots, to see if you are a registered voter, and to locate your election day polling location if you miss early voting. Spooky Storytime

There's a chill in the air...All Hallow's Eve is near! Come to our Spooky Preschool Storytime Tuesday, October 25  at 1:30pm and celebrate the Fall festive fun! Nothing will be too scary of course...mostly we'll talk of pumpkins and a few friendly ghosties too. The fun will include feltboard stories, books, songs, action rhymes and activities to encourage pre-literacy for ages 3-6 years. Voting will be held through Nov. 8 in the Meeting Room, so Toddler Time, Preschool Storytime and Babytime will meet in the Children's Area through that time.  ©Vital Imagery Ltd. 2016

North Channel Book Club-Gulf Coast Reads

Monster Kid's Craft

Are you ready for some festive Fall fun? Join us Wednesday, October 19 at 4:30 pm at North Channel Branch when you can create your own spooky monster out of popsicle sticks! This program is recommended for ages 4 years and up. No tickets are required.

STEAM Camp: Halloween Science!

We sure had fun at last month's STEAM Camp Engineering Challenge making LEGO/Pool Noodle Marble Runs! Be sure to join us Monday, October 17 at 6pm for STEAM again, when we create some Halloween magic  with a  "Ghost in a Bottle"  experiment. Try  your hand at making a Candy Corn Catapult as well...Recommended for ages 6-12 years. Free tickets are available at the front desk.

Gulf Coast Reads Craft: Japanese Flying Carp

DreamWorks Spooky StoriesWe changed our Monday Movie. Come get in the spirit of Halloween with us today at 4:30 pm. We will be watching Dreamworks Spooky Stories featuring characters from your favorite movies Shrek, and Monsters Vs. Aliens.
