Challenger 7 Memorial Park: Birds!

Meet a wide variety of birds Wednesday, July18 at 3pm & 4pm when the Traveling Naturalist from Challenger 7 Memorial Park presents two programs for kids ages 4 and up. Free tickets are required for the program which will be held in the Public Meeting Room. Tickets are available for pick-up beginning at 10am on the day of the program. Some of the birds you will possibly see include a dove, soncure, and quail. Learn all about them and hear their natural music making abiilities! 

Books Alive @ NC

3 nasty gnarliesJune 27, 2018 at 3 PM, the Books Alive theater group will be putting on a live presentation of the book, Three Nasty Gnarlies by Keith Graves. Kids can take photos with the performers after the show!
Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Program with HCPL. 10 points for every book you read, and prizes at 100 pts, 200 pts, and 300 pts for Babies, Kids, Teens, and Adults. Help us meet our library goal of signing up and completing 1000 customers for the program. 

Magic Show!

You won't believe your eyes on Wednesday, June 20 at 3pm when John O'Bryant's performs spell-binding illusions during his Magic Show! Excitement and comedy combine in this professional show right here at North Channel Branch. This program will be held in the Children's Area and no tickets are required. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Summer Reading Program @ NC

SRPAttention All, the Summer Reading Program is near. Calendars have arrived and are available at the front desk. There is a calendar for all Kids Programs, Teen Programs, and Adult Programs.
HCPL Summer Program runs from June 4 - August 4.
Help North Channel reach our goal of 1000 babies, kids, teens, and adults registered and completed for the program this summer.

Asian Pacific Heritage Storytime

Celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month with a special Storytime Wednesday, May 9 at 4:30 pm when Mr. Joel will be our guest Storyteller. Hear themed stories and create your own colorful Asian elephant puppet keepsake!Enjoy themed refreshments too...This program will be presented in the Public Meeting Room and is recommended for ages 3 and up.

3D Printer Orientation: MakerBot

makerbotNorth Channel Library will host 3D Printer Orientation this month on:
Monday, May 7 at 6:00 PM and Saturday, May 12 at 2:30 PM.
Orientation sessions will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use the printer after receiving hands-on training.

Pokemon Club

Meet and battle other Pokemon gamers & trainers here at North Channel Library on Saturday, April 28 from 3-4pm.  Bring your cards and/or Nintendo DS games for fun and enjoy crafts and refreshments too...Pokemon Club meets monthly and is recommended for children ages 6-12 years. No registration is required. We'll meet in the Public Meeting Room

Faithful Paws

Did you know friendly, furry pals will be here at North Channel Library Saturday, April 20 from 2-3pm to listen to you read to them? Faithful Paws of Houston provides trained and well-groomed dogs for a visit here every third Saturday of the month at the same time. Sit and share with them for early literacy encouragement, reading practice, or just for fun! All ages are welcome including teens, adults and seniors. Children's Area.
