Creative Art Club for Adults, Wednesday Afternoons at 1:30 pm

Studies have shown that coloring and other art activities can help lower anxiety levels, reduce stress, and prevent boredom. Come and join us at the Northwest Branch Library and get in touch with your creative side. All materials will be provided by the library, event is free and open to the public. Citizenship Students Needed

During the last decade, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) welcomed more than 6.6 million naturalized citizens into the fabric of our nation. The Northwest Branch Library is now offering citizenship classes at our location. Space is extremely limited. Free Community Swap Shop Event

Household item edition. It’s the New Year and it’s spring cleaning time! Refresh and reset your home. Bring usable home decor, seasonal decorations, tools and other household items to trade for something new to you. This is a free community sharing event, all are welcome.

Join Book Buddies

Book BuddiesDo you have a child in K - 3rd grades or ages 5-9? Do you want to help your child Book Buddiesdevelop a love for reading? Pick up an application for Harris County Public Libraries Book Buddies at Northwest Branch.  What is it all about? Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and teens together to share the joy of reading.  It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).

Friends of the Northwest Branch Library Book Sale

Too late, too late, will be the cry, when the sale with the deals has passed you by. The Friends of the Northwest Library is hosting a book sale on Saturday, January 20th, at the Northwest Library located at 11355 Regency Green Drive in Cypress, TX from 10-4:00pm. The sale will help to raise money for use in furthering the library’s commitment to making top quality resources and programming available to the community.   Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to show support for the library while also enjoying bargain prices on a wide selection of books and materials.


3-D Printer Rainbow Loom Club

daydream braceletFriday, January 5th at 2:00 pm come and loom with us.  Learn to make new creations, share ideas, 3d printermeet new friends and have fun.  We will have 3-D printed looms to make a bracelet.  The looms will be the monster tail size and the bracelet is called the daydream bracelet.  We will watch the 3-D printer make a loom as we work on the project. You will get to keep both the loom and the bracelet you make.  Hooks, bands, clips and instruction are provided.  There will be a random drawing for a 3-D printed bauble to keep treasures.

Family Movie Fun

Lego Ninjago MovieThursday, January 4th at 1:00 join us for a fmaily movie The LEGO Ninjago Movie rated PG. "The battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, also secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat the evil warlord Garmadon, who also happens to be Lloyd's dad. Pitting father against son, the epic showdown tests these fierce but undisciplined modern-day ninjas as they learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash the inner power of Spinjitzu" After the movie take home a how to fold origami ninja star kit. There will be a random drawing for a lego ninjago set, must be present to win.
